i play keeper on an offensive level mid to late game. i was wondering about other items i can be using to up my tankyness or attack levels. any ideas on a better build for me? my normal build seems to work well enough but id like not to depend on someone all the time to do the extra damage.

Actually, Illuminate is the only damage-dealing ability Keeper of the Light has. Increasing his damage output can only be done through purchasing items that deal damage. A Dagon* deals immense burst damage especially when coupled with his Illuminate. An Ethereal Blade* further increases the damage output he deals. A Shadow Blade* would also be good as turning invisible doesn't interrupt his Illuminate plus the bonus attack damage from breaking the invisibilty would deal immense damage. But if you want to increase your damage output and at the same time your survivability, Necronomicon* is the perfect item for you! And make sure to read the note below.

*: These items are rarely found in the competitive scene because Keeper of the Light is supposed to be a support, not a carry. These items are also hard to acquire because they're too expensive, unless you're pubstomping.

I agree with frogger_29. Dagon and Ethereal Blade would do. However tweak you do to your Keeper of the Light, he can't out-carry any legit late game hero, obviously. Your biggest goal is to semi-carry your team through the mid game, turtle in the late and voila. But until that time, Dagon, Ethereal Blade and Linken's Sphere is just perfect.
Hindsight is 20/20
