Eden, the Mind Thief
The Radiant
Agility Hero
Melee (128 Range)
Disabler, Ganker, Escape, Semi-Carry

Str: 17 + 1.7 per lvl
Agi: 23 + 2.5 per lvl
Int: 20 + 2.3 per lvl

Starting HP: 473
Starting Mana: 260
Base Armor: .5
Base Attack Time: 1.7
Base Damage: 37 - 46
Base Movement Speed: 320

Lore:

Eden grew up as a poor orphan in the gutters of a sprawling metropolis-world, one where nobody spared a glance at the poor or at the guy getting dragged into the dark alley just down the street. Alone and homeless, she swore to herself that she would lift herself out of poverty and escape this miserable existence. To that end, she let her natural swiftness and cunning be her greatest tools, picking the pockets of the unaware and lifting valuable objects from their owners' homes. Despite her methodology for survival, Eden could not bring herself to steal even a copper piece from other gutter rats like herself, seeing them as something of her kindred; nor could she unnecessarily harm any of her victims, even if it would risk her getting caught.

It wasn't long until Eden had mastered the art of theft. So quick were her fingers, and so sharp her mind, that she could steal more than just money- she could steal the very thoughts from the minds of her targets. She used her skills to tackle bigger and bigger targets, eventually gaining such notoriety that urchins in the streets whispered of her as The Mind Thief. Eden was just fine with that; after all, no amount of security could keep her from her target.

Abilities:

Q - Perception Theft (Active)(Area of Effect)
By dimming the senses of her enemies, Mind Thief causes herself and any allied heroes in a 350 radius to become invisible for 10 seconds. Has an animation delay of .25 seconds. Can affect magic immune targets. Allies that become invisible in this manner have their movement speed reduced by 30/20/10/0 for the duration, and any hero that does not remain in a 700 radius after becoming invisible becomes visible again.

Cast Range: Self
Mana Cost: 100
Cooldown: 36 / 30 / 24 / 18

W - Rob Sanity (Active)(Target AoE)
Mind Thief reduces her foes to slobbering idiots by stealing away their intelligence. Any enemy heroes in a 200 / 200 / 300 / 300 radius AoE lose 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 Int for 30 seconds and are forced to attack their nearest allied unit for 1 / 1.5 / 1.5 / 2 seconds, or a minimum of 1 attack. Allied creeps that are attacked will in turn attack the unit attacking them. If there are no allied units in range, the targets will simply run around in random directions for the duration. Magic immune targets are not affected by this skill. Linken's Sphere does not block this spell.

Cast Range: 300
Mana Cost: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250
Cooldown: 40

E - Kleptomancy (Passive)(Aura)
Mind Thief has trained herself to sense when enemies use their powers and to automatically steal a portion of the time used to cast them. Whenever an enemy hero uses an active ability or item that has a cooldown within a 200 / 300 / 400 / 500 radius, the cooldown on that skill is increased by 20% (rounded up to the nearest second) and Mind Thief gains a stack of Borrowed Time. Each stack of Borrowed Time grants her and any allied heroes in the radius a cooldown reduction on skills and item abilities equal to 5% per stack (rounded down to the nearest second). This bonus only applies to active skills, not passive skills with a cooldown such as Jinada.

Cooldowns on abilities and items cannot be reduced by more than 40% in this way. Stacks last for 5 / 15 / 25 / 35 seconds. Magic Immune units still receive the cooldown buff/debuff if they are in the AoE.

R - Assimilation of the Mind (Active)(Single Target)
Mind Thief is so skilled at her craft that she can utterly dominate the will of any being. When cast, Eden assumes direct control of the target unit for 2/3/4 seconds, capable of moving it, using its items and abilities (except consumables), and attacking with it. Mind Thief cannot force the unit to drop any items or to give any items to other heroes.
If used on a Magic Immune target, the target will be disarmed and silenced for the duration instead of being controlled. Linken's Sphere blocks this spell. While controlling the target, the target is not subject to her E skill's aura, although any other heroes in the radius are still capable of benefitting or being detrimented by her E.

Cast Range: 300
Duration: 2 / 3 / 4
Cooldown: 300 (200 with Aghanim's Scepter)
Mana Cost: 200 / 400 / 600 (150 / 300 / 450 with Aghanim's Scepter)

Any feedback and/or advice and/or response is greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading!

Ooh, very nice! Rob Sanity should be really funny to watch, although there are some issues with the balance.

First of all, I think the Perception Theft's radius is quite high for the its utility. At level 4, you can make all your teammates invisible forever, as long as you have the mana! That is just too good. Either slightly reduce the radius or decrease the cooldown, or it will become an overpowered smoke :P

"Borrow" Time seems to draw its name from Abbadon's ultimate "Borrowed Time". I think the name should be changed. Other than that, this skill is a pain in the neck to play against, especially if you're enigma...

That's all I have to add, good idea and great ultimate :)

His 1st skill is op IMO. Its duration is too long and its cooldown is too short. What's even more is that it can be used as an escape mechanism for the entire team, allowing your entire team to escape a losing teamfight. It also acts a free Smoke of Deceit, which is just too good IMO. His Rob Sanity's manacost is too high I think, 300 manacost and a 40 sec. cooldown is too much. Reducing the cooldown AND the manacost would't hurt too much. Also, his 'Borrow' Time stacks last too long, maybe a 15/20/25/30 sec. duration is good enough because making it last 3/4 of a minute would mean drastically reducing the cooldown of long-cooldown, game-breaking ultimates like Enigma's Black Hole or Magnus' Reverse Polarity. His ult has the potential to turn a teamfight around, using your opponents' carry against them. It can even be used to force enemy heroes to 'towerdive', or better yet 'fountain-dive' but its long cooldown would mean it has to be used sparingly, too long perhaps. a 240 sec. cooldown is long enough, I guess.

Overall, a nice hero that possesses skills that can be used to disrupt the enemy team. This hero would also be fun to see in-game because of the LOL moments his ult 'creates'.

If you have time, check out my hero ideas as well!

The whole mechanic of making people attack their own team is stupid in my opinion. Any aoe disable followed up by the W, and then ult on the carry. Enemy support and carry next to each other? W and the support dies.

Also there seems to be no benefit in skilling the ult past level 1.

First skill is definitely op, it makes Miranda's ultimate look ****py. Increasing fade time and mana cost as well as increasing mana cost would balance it

Good point with her ult, I completely forgot about that. :/
As for your other point, I could just have it be that the units just run around randomly, if you think that would improve the skill. My only beef with that plan is that I like the similarity to Axe's Berserker's Call, by forcing enemies to attack certain things. It forces the enemy team to avoid clumping up. What would you say if I reduced the radius? Increased the CD? Both?

Yeah, I am not sure why I thought a permanent invisibility was a good idea. >_< Especially not for the whole team. I think what I'll do is decrease the radius and mana slightly, and really cut back on the duration and increase cooldown.

I think you're probably right on the stack duration as well, I'll reduce that a bit.

I made the cooldown intentionally longer so that the passive CD aura doesn't reduce it too much. :/ I think I'll leave cooldown as it is, unless it becomes more of a problem. And yes, I wish she were in the game to see those rofl moments.

Wow, maybe I should pay attention to the unreleased heroes... :/. Thanks for pointing that out, I will find another name for her E.

Thanks again for all of the response! It's greatly appreciated. I'll get to making the changes in a bit.

I like your hero - very unique and would add an interesting dynamic to team fights.

My suggestion on "Perception Theft" as a balance mechanic would be to make it an aura effect when triggered, so that allied heros have to maintain "coherency" to remain invisible.

I would also have a movement penalty for each hero being protected but lvl'ed @ -15/-10/-5/-0
(Penalty only applied when Eden joined by a hero(s) - more heros, higher penalty, on her own no penalty) - so it will require a bit of planning.

That way the long time, short cool down is balanced through the need to act as a team and it would also make escaping less simple (and slower early / mid game).

Just an idea :o) otherwise really like.

You know, that's not really a bad idea. I think I will implement some or of it, I just need to think about it for a few minutes. Thanks much, and I'm glad you like her! ^^

It seems to me that this hero should be intelligence, not agility, but that is just my opinion. These types of spells with high damage output could result in an op hero, maybe bump down the agility growth and change it to intelligence.

I think making the ult channeled, and hence interruptable would make it less silly, imo.
