Post TI6 Nerf Predictions

The International 2016 has come to a conclusion and REDACTED are our World Champions. This tournament was unlike any other in that every hero, save for Arc Warden, was picked at least once. But some heroes saw more actions than others and will inexorably be nerfed into oblivion as a result.

So, which of the 10 most picked heroes at TI6 (which I have listed in this poll) do you think will be nerfed the hardest?

Could you put {SPOILER} or {MEANINGLESS FILLER} at the beginning to not spoil the winner for people please?

Also, I think there's more heroes that weren't picked. I don't remember seeing a Lina, Bloodseeker, Treant Protector, or Visage...

I feel like Drow Ranger needs to be on this list. Literally first phase pick/ban in almost every game.

I'm not sure if Faceless Void is deserving of getting nerfhammered or if it was just Universe that stomped **** with him. Of the list, it'll either be Void, Drow, Mirana or Elder Titan, my guess is.

I haven't watched much pro dota, but is Drow really that good? I mean pubs wise she's not really considered that good right? I mean I guess the 5 man push drow strategy is something but if someone could explain why she was picked and banned so much that would be great, how is she played? etc.

Drow is a great hero when paired up with ranged heroes. Look at the line-ups she was picked in, she literally boosted the attack damage of almost every hero in the line-up (3-5 ranged hero in each line-up, TnC went for the full 5 once). She pushes great early, helps the midlaner win his lane with the precision aura. She reacts well to fights with Gust (watch OG vs TnC).

Hurricane Pike exists as well, great way of making sure that Marksmanship is always on. The way of playing her is basically:

-pick multiple ranged heroes (bonus if you get Vengeful Spirit cause of her Vengeance Aura)
-pick Visage (everyone knows the combo already)
-push early, try to end the game in 30 minutes
-if that doesn't work, transition into Aghanim's Scepter into Mjollnir late game
-bonus points if you have an Alchemist middle and you can save an item slot for the aghs



Also, why on God's earth would you nerf Earth Spirit more? He's already dead, only Cr1t and Jerax play him... barely.

If you think Void from Universe was great, you clearly didnt see the finals and Shadow s core Void Tera :)

As for Drow, all of what Wulf said above. Don't think she needs to be much touched\super nerfed, however. She's not a guaranteed win, she's banned all of those times simply because teams prefer to not have to face the Drow strat and be more free to do their own thing. And it's true that she isnt very good in pubs, because team coordination, but they usually dont care that much for pubs when patching. Probably she will suffer some minor nerf.

Personally there's nothing I think really needs a nerf. If you take a hero like let's say Batrider, either picked or banned in almost every game also, how much counters are there in reality? You pick an Oracle, a Slark, a Venge, a SD, a Nyx, etc and his utility is screwed. You take another hero that was always picked\banned, like Mirana, same applies, although she is very strong right now. So I m not sure about necessary strong nerfs.

Now for buffs, I would reaaaaally like to see a Sniper and a PA rework and something done about Troll and Bloodseeker, cause they cant keep with the current main cores and I would like to see them picked more.

TI games were pretty cool, especially DC ones (loved Misery as captain, his strategic decisions and drafts). I think also Wings just proved that Dota has never been this good, when meta doesnt dictate what works and what doesnt.

Mirana will get nerfed 99%, either Starstorm or Aghs, most likely Aghs.
Same with Void, either his Q or W will get cut, or his base damage.

SD, ET, Timber nerfs are very likely.

Drow is probably going to be nerfed too, though IMO she's overrated, she's only that good because of Pike and Balance Demon.

Morph, Ogre, Huskar and Slark may get some nerfbat treatment too.

From the enrfs I'd like but which probably won't happen are Raindrop, Sven and Oracle nerfs.

My stats are wrong, but it seemed like Timbersaw was in pretty much every single game, all tournament. I'd say him and Mirana most likely, but perhaps little ones to ET, Void, Drow, Huskar maybe. Also, Oracle. Maybe not massive nerfs, but a few little ones.

Disruption will get nerfed. That spell is just silly. Really good 14s duration illusions on a spell with 16s cooldown? That can also function as a set-up stun/save? Fun times.

Drow, Mirana, Timber, ET and maybe Kunkka are the other probable nerfs. Drow because she basically doesn't drop off anymore, Mirana because the ag's is broken (AOE finger of death every few seconds. Seems good), Timber because Reactive Armour is a good spell. And ET because he wrecked. Oh and Faceless Void. Because the utility is digusting.

Also for reference 105/110 available heroes were picked. Leshrac, Lina, Visage, Treant Protector and Bloodseeker were the 5 not to.

I'd be cool with a Raindrops nerf. That alone would do Lina wonders.
