6.87 Hero Discussion: Windranger

Ah. Our beloved Windrunner, who never seems to get nerfed. Personally one of my favourite heroes.

But how has she changed in this last patch?

Bloodthorn: A decent item on Windranger, but only after Blink and Agh's. It's only viable because you're supposed to kill them in the Shackleshot. Otherwise, BKB and Manta Style ruins your day.

Infused Raindrops: Seriously, this item seems super strong to me. And what's WR's weakness? Magic burst (and true strike, but that's beside the point). This item gives Windranger some survivability before she saves up for a Blink Dagger or Aghanim's Scepter.

Does Blink + Shackleshot + Focusfire + Bloodthorn = dead?

Is it viable?

completely depends if Bloodthorn is actually better then deadalus. i would think that it makes shackle into ult weaker except if you have others hammering on the hero which isnt needed if you have deadalus in the first place, but it gives you some extra options to silence heroes apart from just using shackle+ult.

havent tried raindrops but they seem legit.

Bloodthorn is a greater increase in DPS than Daedalus, I think.

Bloodthorn also gives True strike doesn't it? And applies it to anything hitting the target?

In terms of DPS for the team, it has to be higher. It's like having an Orchid and a budget MKB/Crit stick all in one.

It's less reliable damage than the other two because of purges existing, but it's still gives a lot in terms of slot efficiency. And it's still 85 raw damage with an crit without the silence.
