Well I have been above and beyond 4k, my advice, play more support. Good support players are a dime a dozen, sure a 4k mid can hold his own with his signature heroes, but most end up wasting time or making bad calls.

A good support can not only save allies but give a sense of direction and steer the game.
Buy smoke, make those non-smokers taste tobacco when YOU want.
Ward/CW the pit, do RS after you get a pickoff.

Mostly though, it's bad judgement calls that i've seen lose games. When to commit, when to retreat is a really what makes or brakes most engagements.
I am the Abaddon *****!!!

The best way to improve in your situation is to actually play other type of heroes. By playing a certain type of carry, you'll understand what you need and what you want your supports to do to you. This way you'll understand your carry's needs way better.

Hi Tommy.

Sorry this is kind of bumping a dead thread, but I took some time to watch the beginning of your latest video on Lion. Here is a bit of advice that I can offer you (If you're still watching the thread):

1. Before I give any advice, I want to say that you played VERY well early game. Your harass was excellent and the fact that you continued to buy sents versus clinkz was awesome. Overall you're a very good player and I think you should be higher than 3.8k. That being said, here is some constructive criticism that I have:

2 (Technically 1). If you know Clinkz warded, you should be willing to fight him until you are close to dead (Especially with a FF in your inventory). Wards give double tango regen, so look at a ward as a way to maximize the efficiency of your tangos. If they definitely warded, feel free to harass until you're very close to death, then eat the ward so that they are unable to trade well with you (Since you have 4 tangos, one of them with ward regen. he just has 4 tangos).

3. There was a point early game (4:30 in game, 10:00 on youtube) where AM was low and you had mana to spend with favorable creep equilibrium. This is a great time to use earth spike and hex to zone out clinkz. Even if you don't kill him, he had a maximum of 2 tangos left, as he just ate 2. If you earth spike, right click a bit, hex, right click a bit... he will most likely back. From there you can gain mana back with E, so it's as if you get free harass. Mana drain provides a lot of potential lane harass, so feel free to spam a bit. It's necessary, since if clinkz has high HP, he won't be scared. If he's not scared, then AM will not hit a good BF timing.

4. Don't spend FF to regen health. FF is used to last one extra hit to bait. Or if you have 2, and someone is looking to straight up fight you, spend one early (after 1-2 attacks), then the 2nd one near death. Instant HP is not common early game without a spell that accomplishes it, so it's fantastic for baiting an over commitment and turning it into a kill, or at least a trade.

5. Grab a TP early. If you get one camp pull and don't die, you can easily afford a crow upgrade and TP by minute 3. Their rotation potential wasn't very strong, but if your mid is getting outplayed/dove by the opposing mid, a turn around will win them mid, plus the best part... They have to go heal, so you get solo experience! You can be all like "Oh yeah... I just want to help my mid out!" but secretly it's all about that selfish solo exp. #TheRoadToLevelSix

6. Check items often. If you had seen that AM had no regen early game, you would have recognized when to go or not go. This is something that helps calculate how fights will go. If I'm ganking mid and our mid is zues... I need to check their wand before I go in. Oh it's 15 charges? Okay well I'll just stack and pull then. gl hf mid. Or "I have 4 tangos, and so does the off lane, but I have a ff and a ward to eat, so I can man up on him."

I only watched about 5 minutes of the game, but there are some pointers to get you started. Again, overall you're a great player already and you just need to work on a few things. Keep supporting my friend! :)
