Oracle is not yet in Captain's Mode, but he looks like he'll get there soon. With the recent remake to False Promise making it pretty much stun immunity as well as damage delay, a little idea popped in my head. What if you went to maximize the doubled healing from False Promise to make a high dps glasscannon/easykited hero into a god.

The draft runs with an Oracle, in a normal support position. He runs with a Wraith King, who can takes several roles. Aggro Tri carry, a support (possibly roaming), or as the main carry, although he's not great at it. 30% lifesteal gets really scary if the carry has built in lifesteal, and Vlads might be a worthy pickup.

After that, you can pick up natural healer heroes like Omniknight, Abaddon, Dazzle, and Necro. Or you can get natural mek/gg boots carriers like Lich or Jakiro.

Then comes the carry, a hero that deals lot of damage, and would normally suffer either from being too fragile or being kited to death. Lots of options here, ones that naturally carry dominator/MoM are probably the best. Heroes like Luna, Juggernaut, Sven, Roflcopter, and Void are my main nominations.

For bans, pick or ban AA, he rips this apart, and also Siren, since Song eats through the duration of False Promise.

Example Drafts:
Oracle, WK, Luna safelane. Offlane Undying, Mid QoP
Oracle, AA, WK offlane, Void safelane. Mid Legion
Oracle, Gyro, VS offlane. Necrophos safelane. Brewmaster mid.
Oracle, Juggernaut, WK safelane. Phoenix offlane. Storm Mid.

What do you think?

Generally speaking drafts like these can be very good and hard to stop. The main problem with them however, is to find the right balance between damage and cc, while maintaining the primary healing aspect. Drawn out fights combined with damage over time effects are the name of the game. Witch Doctor fits the bill in every possible manner and is a must have in such lineups imo.

As of 6.84 you really have to be careful with picking your cores though, since the new break-mechanic can mess you up badly, if you decide to go for heroes like Necrophos, Bristle Back, Wraith King etc.etc.

With the False Promise reword i wonder if "insta-gib" heroes like Legion Commander or Ursa are viable partners as well.... pick off one hero and deathball down a lane would be the overall strat then i think.

I'm surprised that there's no Keeper of the Light or Chen in these drafts when they're some of the best healers in the game. They also give your drafts some incredible push and carry mobility. Kotl can tp your carry out of the jungle for any push or fight, and Chen can send you to base to heal up even more, or just escape. Wynter Wyvern gives some much needed CC to this style of play as well, but the heal doesn't sync too well with Oracle's ult because it keeps them stuck in place for a lot of the duration. Good for out of battle regen though.

Oracle is really going to just be an ult in these drafts I feel. However, the ult is just so insanely strong that it makes sense. Plus he has really great CC and nuking power, as well as a decent heal. Run dual lanes with like WK and Oracle off and Kotl + (insert carry) bot, or do Kotl carry bot, WK solo off, with a Chen in the jungle. Idk, it's fairly open.

That is good idea Fumbles. Now I'm imagining a DK-KotL lane (which I've had a lot of success with), Chen Jungle. WK off, and Oracle Mid (blasphemy!, he's okay for an Orchid rusher however).

Make a Dragon God, one that cannot die, get stunned, and gets mad lifesteal and healing. Just get Dominator, Moon Shard, BKB, and Daedalus, and everything will die.

I must add this to my guide.

Other Carries that pair well with Kotl work too. Phantom Lancer (although with False Promise, you lose all stealth with the illusions), Gyrocopter, Juggernaut, Luna, Medusa (less so, she's never had a problem with survivability). Maybe Terrorblade or Tiny as well.
