There are a few really awkward choices here. As already stated by others: Band of Elvenskin is a bad starting item. Wraith Band gives you much more stats for only 35 gold more. But even that would be a bad choice for a start item. You have 6 slots, no reason not to use it. If you want to start with 1 sets of Tango's (I'd recommend 2, keeps you in lane better), you can get more stats from 1x Slippers of Agility and 4x Iron Branch. Gives you 4 strength, 1 agility and 4 intelligence more than a Band of Elvenskin, whilst being 88 gold cheaper... There's a reason the in-game suggested items always contain more cheaper items.

Mask of Madness may not always be the best choice, but it can work on Drow when used properly. But why a Monkey King Bar as a core item? Drow's Precision Aura is based on her agility, so it's best to boost your damage through agility items mainly. Also gives you more attack speed and armor. And if you build Manta Style, your illusions will benefit from those stats too, whilst MKB doesn't really help them. It may be a usefull item against evasion heroes like Phantom Assassin, but other than that...

Or the Skull Basher from one of the other builds. It gives you only 10% chance to stun. If you got it to defend yourself against Spirit Breaker and alike, there are way better options to do that. Force Staff to get away or even Helm of the Dominator to get a Centaur Khan to accompany you. When needed, he can stun nearby enemies long enough for you to get away...

But the hardest turn-off of the guide is the skillbuild. 1 level of Frost Arrows is pretty much useless, but you only max it very late. Why all the stats? You have abilities that are begging to be chosen first. It's like there is no real focus in the build, like you don't know where you want to go. If you thought this through, please enlighten me, because I just don't understand those choices. Gave it a -1

you want basher if you plan to make it into abysal blade in the circumstance of being locked into melee range combat with a bashlocking hero like troll, spirit breaker etc.

the starting band provides extra dmg for the team through your global and is recycled into treads...
that is also the reason for early stat points... gives your team an edge in cs

Maxing arrows is ganking drow. A true carry drow (which is what OP intended to build), goes 1st level Frost Arrows for orb walking, then stop leveling it since lifesteal is very effective on her considering her damage output. I can't argue on basher.

I... don't know what to say about this.

Quelling Blade on ranged heroes is just wrong, its just not worth the money. Mask of Madness, seriously? The only time I even used this on Drow Ranger is when the other team is seriously underfarmed and I got it just as a joke for destroying towers. In normal match, pub or competitive, getting MoM is just plain suicide. You are already squishy as it is and will be targeted so why make yourself easier to kill with Mask of Madness?

Why do you get your Frost Arrows so late in each build? At least, explain why you take so many stats in the early level of the games.

From experience, there is no other orb mordifier that can match up to lifesteal for Drow Ranger since she is already damn squishy. Now, thanks to the new DotA 2 system, getting Maelstrom and Morbid Mask together can be done. But, Diffusal Blade? Why the hell for? She already got Frost Arrows.

Why a Skull Basher? Oh, god. 10% is like little as mad and getting other items will be more worth it compare to basher. It will barely trigger.

In my opinion, maxing Frost Arrows first is the most important thing, followed by Precision Aura with a single point of Silence if needed. Your skill builds are just wrong, at least justify why stats in early or why basher?

I'm very, very surprised how people have not mentioned the starting band yet.

Seriously, why? For 6 AGI that you can get for 2 slippers anyway? And I really don't think that's a hard carry skill build...

Lol you are already a decent farmer, if MoM isn't gonna be used in team fights then it's kinda of a waste of space :\ If you want to accelerate your farm (even tho it's more expensive) you can go Mjolnir, Then you are not wasting any attack speed, lightnings good for farm and team-fights, and why qblade? not as effective on ranged heroes than melee.

mom isnt intended to be using in fights, its a flash farming aid; used to match the speed at which a hard farmer like anti-mage for example can farm. if still slotted in team fights its purpose is movement speed on the way in and the way out not for the increased attack speed and lifesteal; thats for the ancients. as the only difference between mom and helm of the dom is the armour and that you cant build it into a satanic its worth it. the speed at which u can attack ancients and move between camps granted by mom makes it an investment, like a midas; giving you a leg up in your mid game farming - eventually to be sold; also a good escape with the movement speed if you get jumped

mom it's a bad idea since you have your ulti and if this is a hard carry build, then mom makes you even more vulnerable and this is not a good idea at all.

its a hard hard carry build, wand isnt needed as your not supposed to be on the front lines until u pretty much dont have space for a wand. thats why mom works cos its a midas equivent; an investment into maximising your farm; down the track you would sell it, as you would a midas. the abysal blade is for carry v carry fights so you dont get locked in with a melee like troll or pa; which would disable your ult and where it would be dangerous to run as you rely on damage and lifesteal to life in such a situation. such heros usually build bkbs... therefore abyssal blade =]in the third build it works well with the satanic blade mail combo as u need all the strength and mini disable u can get. mixing things up a bit

where's magic wand? why do put that quelling blade? the builds are kinda wrong, especially the abysall is so a bag idea as mom. you should correct the build.
