Hey
I am a pretty good Sven player, I usually play Sven as a carry, The reason why I do this, it is because alot of people like to say Sven is only a support he can't play carry well I prove them wrong.
But I am not going to tell you Sven isn't a good support his cleave can make you and your laner push when needed and allow him to jungle so his lane partner gets solo lane exp.
Pros
Sven can jungle, but he will need life steal to keep him there.
So Early Game Sven needs to rush a morbid mask if you want to Jungle.
But the best way to jungle with Sven is to early game buy a HotD and take an enemy ranged creep move it to your ancient camp, when the 53 mark for every minute comes, take over your creep and start to stack.
I usually kill my stack when 3 or more camps are they, also if you are a high enough level you can just kill them using your cleave no need for your ultimate.
Sven's Skill Set is focused on dealing a lot of AoE damage and AoE buffs for your team making Sven a major Team Fight component.
Storm Hammer - A Ranged AoE 2 Second stun 100/175/250/325 damage, from level one this ability can help your team setup kills after a fight for a rune.
Great Cleave - 20%/35%/50%/65% This Skill is to be picked up after the laning stage, or if you are jungling, this is a great skill in Team Fight because late game Sven can crit (with his ult) for over 1300 damage with one hit.
Warcry - 12% bonus move speed 4/8/12/16 armour bonus, for 8 seconds, your team mates are effected by this when you cast it, this can be used when going in to fights and getting away from fights.
God's Strength - The Manliest Ultimate of they all, Sven gains 100%/150%/200% bonus damage for 25! seconds if Sven buys aghanims septer 50%/75%/100% bonus damage is granted to allies around Sven.
The reason for power treads, Sven needs the bonus mana from switching.
Blink Dagger, Sven cannot catch up to kills so blink dagger is needed, also blink is needed for initiator.
Helmet of the Dominator, Life Steal and the dominate active meaning you can stack the ancient camp whilst still in lane getting XP.
Heart of Tarrasque, Strength HP regen and just all around tanky-ness
Assault Curi***, An AoE armour reduction, and an AoE Armour and attack speed buff.
Daedalus, Damage and Critical Hit chance makes Sven DPS very high.
Armlet of Mordiggian, This adds survivability for Sven going in to a team fight and running away, Armlet Toggling is a great thing if you do it right.
Mask Of Madness, Attack Speed buff is great with Sven.
Battle Fury, More Cleave More Team Fight Damage.
Sven is the main initiator for a team fight, Sven also can follow up with a Enigma's 
Black Hole which is great combined with his Cleave and Ultimate.
Cleave is also good with the enemy team being in a line of to won side of your team.
Point Saving is the method of saving upgrade points.
Sven uses Point Savings for his Cleave, instead of pushing the lane you can save up points for the cleave for when you jungle and want to push the lane.
