also Mask of Madness very very situational (snowballing out of control and rushed MoM-BkB)

also his dps is pretty high I think with his skill damage gain and armor - aura which goes through bkb

Please remove Mask of Madness. That thing ain't even situational. Don't make a squishy hero squishy. Ethereal Blade is more of a situational item.

I don't agree with NVM not being a DPS carry. His DPS potential is really high, sometimes even better than those hard carries. He's just an AOE carry because of that Requiem of Souls. Well, using Phantom Assassin as an example is just too low. Pair him up with even Spectre or Anti-Mage and of course PA will win. Shadow Fiend is more of a 2nd position, since he fall a little bit on late game, but not falling that far.
