Darkterror the Faceless Void is a visitor from Claszureme, a realm outside of time. It remains a mystery why this being from another dimension believes the struggle for the Nemesis Stones is worth entering our physical plane, but apparently an upset in the balance of power in this world has repercussions in adjacent dimensions. Time means nothing to Darkterror, except as a way to thwart his foes and aid his allies. His long-view of the cosmos has given him a remote, disconnected quality, although in battle he is quite capable of making it personal.

Is void a hard carry? Why or why not?

I am new to dotafire but I have seen many arguments about void so I decided my first guide would be on him and how to correctly play him . I believe Faceless Void is a hard carry by all means even if he falls behind compared to Sceptre or Medusa. His damage steroid is not that good but my argument is that Troll Warlord is considered a carry even though he doesn't have much of a steroid either and loses lots of DPS when switching targets and he doesn't have one of the best teamfight ultimates either.

Overall I say Faceless Void is by all means , viable as a position 1 hero but in this meta it is sometimes agreeably better to pick a better carry like Sceptre or Medusa
and send him to the offlane instead , void can easily offlane too because of his escape , Time Walk.

Introduction to the Darkterror

Void as I said is viable as a hard carry and also completely viable as a position 2 carry however not as a position 3 or after because he is heavily item reliant to do pretty much anything. Void can be played a ganker who can carry like Slark, initiator or a core carry who farms all day long

I will give build to void as both position 1 and 2 in this guide.

Void has a well rounded skill-set , a bash , mass disable , mkb proof evasion which works on everything and the longest blink in the game. His bash as a semi-viable damage steroid and a completely valid one in early game his evasion as I said is not stopped by Monkey King Bar because it is technically not evasion and his Time Walk cannot disjoint projectiles because it is also technically not a blink , I will get to these mechanics later .

Escape Artist's Gadget : Timewalk

Time Walk is Faceless Void's First skill and is quit useful as you can see by it's specs from hovering over the icon. It is a great skill and core to his initiating capablities.

Mechanics :-

  1. It is considered a partial blink and thus cannot disjoint projectiles.
  2. You are invulnerable while blinking.
  3. It slows heroes near it's starting and ending points , the slow lasts a few seconds after void is gone.
  4. At level 4 it becomes the longest blink in the game.

Usage :-
  1. Since you are invulnerable while blinking we can use it to doge projectiles if not disjoint them.
  2. You use for escape and initiation as with any other blink.
  3. Blink onto an enemy instead of near him when ganking to make him slower so that can you bash him to death while he can't run fast enough
  4. If you ae winning a manfight and enemy turns back to flee then remember to cast it a few units ahead of him to catch up as well as slow him

The Time Lord Special : Backtrack

Backtrack

Faceless Void's bread and butter skill , it is a very powerful source of evasion from everything and a massive EHp booster.

Mechanics :-

  1. It works on everything , I am not kidding . You can dodge a Laguna Blade if you are lucky enough.
  2. It is technically not evasion because you are actually anticipating the attack before it hits and getting out the way meaning it cannot be countered by true strike.
  3. It stacks with other sources of evasion but then it cannot evade spells and is suspect able to truestrike as per my observations
  4. Evasion sacking actually diminishes , meaning if you purchase a Butterfly , then you will have 50% evasion instead of 60 , I don't know the maths for it , use google.

Usage :-

It is a passive stupid , what do you expect?

Concussion From A Mace : Timelock

Timelock
Timelock is the cheese in the pizza , butter on the bread or whatever you might like \
again it is great ability and dps booster early game , late game it is more useful for the bashes than damage it is he reason we build lots of attack speed on void.

Mechanics :-

  1. It deals double damage in to targets in chronosphere .
  2. Damage type is magical.
  3. Does not stack

Usage :-

Making sure that the enemy carry is too bashed to do anything.

Darkterror's Sphere of Death : Chronosphere

Chronosphere is by far void's best ability however it must be used wisely , carefully and requires other skills to be used effectively.

Mechanics :-

  1. Any target in chronosphere takes double damage from timelock
  2. Anyone including allied creeps , summons and heroes whether they are enemy or allied get stuck in it.
  3. Void moves at maximum (522) movespeed when in chronosphere.
  4. People get locked in it if they come little as 1 dota unit into it.
  5. Only your summons and illusions can move in it.
  6. Any invisible hero caught in it is revealed to void and his allies , he cannot move either
  1. Starting teamfights with a bang
  2. For kill securing early game and to reveal and kill invisble heroes again early game , late game your support should be carrying dust and/or gem.
  3. Eleminating key enemy heroes i.e healers, teamfighters and anyone who has an item like crimson guard and can be dangerous if alive
  4. If using it mid fight make sure you catch enemy disablers so that they won't waste your chrono.
  5. Try to leave out allies as chrono can often act a double edged sword.
  6. It is not a rampage tool but something you use to eleminate key targets , this is a very common mistake.
