Always build the same starting and early game items into Phase+Battle Fury. Occasionally buy a healing salve or wand in the early game if you need them. Late game usually build into the extension items first, but situational items are fine too (Deso if you need more damage, silver edge for ganking, s&y for a mid-game fighting item to end the game, nullifier if they have a right-clicker carry, bloodthorn for a spell-based carry, rapier if it goes super late and you need more damage).
