I see your point but I feel Veil of Discord is more for heroes with big AOE and high damage, Lina is much more single target and getting a early Dagon will add to her combo and allow her to get those heroes who are a little more tanky.

Guide is a touch of date in terms of items - there is more flexibility on core than stated here. I wouldn't automatically go for a Null Talisman - it depends whether you will be building into a Veil of Discord, or possibly a Dagon if you can get early.

This is a fairly well written guide but I don't see the need to buy Magic Wand, yea it's good early game for burst heal but you really could be getting a quicker Null Talisman for a early Dagon to increase its effectiveness.

How about refresher orb with its complimentary stats? A bloodstone with a refresher orb would make it so that she could use her laguna blade twice. it would be a beast. and i imagine one blo from laguna scares an enemy away or at least causes them to hesitate. its mental as well i think. imagine two out of five getting that hesitance.
