Fun Medusa

WHY PLAY FUN MEDUSA?!?

Notice people rarely play medusa? The standard accepted way of playing her is farm farm farm farm farm farm...but cmon this game is about teamfighting and killing the enemy...if you wanted to kill mobs all day just play Diablo or something like that. This build carefully maximizes Medusa's core strengths for both early, mid as well as late game, buying cost effectinve stat gear to outpace your enemies. Unlike standard superown Medusa's with 3 Divine rapiers after 50 minutes of agonizing last hitting and creepstackfarming this build encourages you to teamfight right from the start and enjoy the medusa experience.
Also, if you are not a Medusa expert, use this build as your "Uh Oh...randomed Medusa" build and you will be able to play her just fine.
People who play medusa on pug matches know that sometimes if your team does great early on you get good farm and help out late game but really the other teamates won the game and you just help clean up. With this build players new to medusa and old pros with her can just hop on and jump right into the fray. You will be surprised that by about the time you build your chainmail...you will have +8 armor early on, allowing you to trade blows and tower dive if needed.
This build really maximizes medusa's survivability making for interesting team play like initiation...use ghost scepter once people start targeting you...and then use your ultimate when you are in the best position.
Something to notice is that each item has +allstats on it...so that even though these items are traditionally "support" items...on Medusa they are actually cheap forms of +allstats which she really needs to maximize her survivability, attack speed, damage, health pool, mana(health) pool. And every item fits into her final carry form of three pretty big items...eye of skadi, likensphere and ethereal blade.

1) Best to lane with non-carry, that will harass for you and let you get last hits...right around the time you pick up your bracer start harassing a bit more also...you are sturdier and have tranq boots helping with your regen...wear them down.
2) Lane until about level 8-9 and then join up with your team for fights. Don't expect to get a ton of kills...go for participation and do not die...get your assists and get out until you get better with her. A perfect game for you using this build will be 0 kills/0 deaths/25+ assists and about 120-200 lasthits. A good game for you will end before the 40 minute mark...after that the enemy carry may catch up to you and outcarry you. Encourage your team to teamfight and push towers down.
3) You don't have alot of mana regen at all until Likensphere which I get about 2-3 min before the game is over anyway, so conserve your mana and learn when to take hits to your hitpoints rather than your mana. Also, if you are low on mana...just run back to base fill up and then get back in there...

4) There are a ton of activatable items in this build...so if you are new to the game or don't like using activatables make sure you set your inventory keybinds to accessible keys like "t,g,b,v,c and x".

5) This build works best if there is another physical damage carry farming in another lane like spiritbreaker, drow or sniper, or anyone who attacks for most of their damage rather than nuking.

6) You are definitely tanky enough to farm creeps like other medusa strategies but only if you get bored of totally owning your enemy heroes...but if there is a lull or your teamates keep going out and getting ganked...you should be able to start farming neutral creeps without much hitpoint loss around level 10, but this should not be the focus of this build...find enemies...lure them...kill them with your allies.
8) Use your ultimate only when you are certain you won't die in the fight...otherwise use it as escape mechanism only.
7) Medusa is awesome fun to play...have fun...

Response to criticism in advance...

WHAT? NO "w" until midgame?!? Yeah...well...that thing is a super awesome nuke when you hit 2 heroes and the ranged creep with it...giving you tons of mana back and devastating your enemies...but if you miss...no mana for you...so wait until your mana pool is huge from all your stat items to start using it.

Why so many stats early on? Isn't 3 extreme? Well...no...q is great if you are jungling but you aren't going to own with it until later levels anyway...2 levels of "e" give you over a 1:1 ratio for survivability...but another stat gives you more hitpoints, more mana, more damage...everything. Stats, Stats, Stats...
