Guardian of the Deeps
Welcome to my first ever guide, guys! So today, i'll discuss one of my favorite hero, Slardar!
Slardar is a hero who has a number of physical damage-based skillset and naturally tanky. He is the one who can initiate teamfights and roam easily, so actually he is a good pick for players who are new to Dota 2, as well for learn to be an offlaner.
Slardar fulfills the position 1 or 3 core, or even position 4 (roamer support) role. He is quite versatile, who can deal tremendous amount of physical damage, soak up damage, or rotating lanes for setup a gank. Normally, i recommend you to fill the 3rd or 4th role because your main task is to starting teamfights and ganks.

Pros and Cons
*Can initiate ganks or teamfights easily.
*Low spell cooldown and manacost.
*Durable enough for a strength hero.
*Easy to cancel TP Scrolls with his Crush and Bash.
*Main counter for invisible heroes such as Riki, Clinkz, Bounty Hunter, Shadow Blade carrier, etc and actually you don't really dependant on detection items.
*Versatile roles, and not really item dependant beside Blink Dagger.
*Crush stun radius isn't really large and have a relative short duration.
*Corrosive Haze debuff is easily dispelled by anything before level 25.
*He is somehow, not really effective against high-armored or illusion-based heroes.
*Bash stun is quite unreliable due to your average attack speed.
