Farming Treant Protector (Quick-Easy Guide)

How to Build it and Play it.

This is a fun way to play Treant as a farmer. I doubt you'll be able to get safelane but that's ok, just try and farm off-lane either as a dual lane or off-lane. (Dire Bottom, Radiant Top)

Start with the standard melee farmer items Tango/Salve + 2x Braches + Stout, and buy a Quelling Blade in lane. Follow that with Boots. Next you'll need to get a soul ring. Its better to not try to rush one at the start but to get establish on the lane.

After Soul ring finish your Power Treads. Next you will need Mask of Madness. AT the point you are truly terrifying to have coming your way, especially if you team has some stuns or slows as well. I like to go into either Sange and Yasha or Drums of Endurance next as you really need to be as fast as possible to make this work. You can make that decision based on your Mana needs.

That's really all there is too it, you'll be maxing your Leech Seed first and using Soul Ring to spam that on anyone that is out of position then chasing them down. Next max your Living Armor. I would hold off on the Ult till level 8 or 9 or so so you'll have more mana to support it. Late game repace your treads with boots of travel and you'll have Max move speed. If it goes late enough then you can consider one of the luxury items to increase your damage output.

A few Extras

Don't forget to heal your allies and towers when you can. You can often bully people out of lanes with this build but mostly you need to gank with your team. Your prescence up front should win you a lot of teamfights with the right teammates joining in with you.

Undying makes a great lane partner for offlane. You can pretty much dive anyone with him.

Playing Treant this way can be quite effective, no its not "meta" or going to be appreciated by your super try hard teammates but can work great in a lot of games. Sometimes in Dota you just want to try something fun and different, as long as you have it optimized to some degree and have a plan there is nothing wrong with that. Have fun playing Dota!
