Too many bad carries...

And it pretty much is ruining the game for me. Every game so far I've had today; I've gotten the one guy that first picks a carry then ends up getting slaughtered and ends game with less gear and levels then me as a fifth role support.

A Lycan we had ended up feeding three kills to a Riki while our support Lion died twice trying to save his ***.

Every other lane was fine. I was actually winning the lane as a Skywrath with a Nyx vs Bristle and Void. And the Lycan would literally just go chase kills that he couldn't get and end up dying. Pushing waves too deep so that he got ganked so easily. Never once bought a tp scroll.

He ended the game with treads, tangos, and a quelling blade.

I ended the game with bottle, arcanes, euls, and halberd.


My last game we had a fail Morphling that didn't know the meaning of last hit. He continuously pushed the wave till he ended up getting ganked. He ended up with only treads and a perseverance.

I ended on my ES; Urn, Arcanes, Euls, gem, and was working towards a halberd. I was doing my usual roaming gank for the start of the match.

I ended up lvl 19 while he was lvl 15. It's sad with a support is outleveling and outgearing the main carry.

Yet all the games I played; these carries always blamed someone else.


I'm not mad about losing. I'm mad cause my team is losing cause one guy thinks he's the next Loda and auto selects carry even when he's horrible at it.

Yep, people suck at carrying, that is why i play the 3 core roles, becouse i ended up playing the farmer a lot.

Dem autoattackers who never stop pushing waves.

And example of two games. 1st game I was supporting Faceless as a Maiden.
Faceless autoattacked, and had about 6 lasthits by the end of the LANING PHASE because the enemies denied so much. He went on to use all his hard earned money at the end of the game to buy......Refresher. I'm not even kidding.

A surefire way of spotting very bad carries is if they autopick Spectre or FV, without looking at enemy team, or the Anti mage who is fighting 5 strength heroes (Odd game, too much tank.).

I like playing Drow Ranger as a carry, but I thought the point of carries were that you are supposed to be supported. I always get sent mid as Luna and Drow when I am expecting to lane with a support. I don't know whether Luna and Drow are common mid laners but I always rather lane with a partner. I don't claim to be amazing but I know for certain I am not a good mid laner.

Supported yes. But supports can only do so much. Supports can't help improve the carries last hits. They can't stop the carry from chasing down enemies that the carry should know they can't even get.

Supports are there to support the carry. Not do our job and their job. All my matches; our main carry had a support. In every one of those matches; the carry couldn't even do basic stuff such as last hitting.

I can last hit on an average skill level, however supports being my main hero type, I understand that they can't help last hit. I was merely saying that I don't understand why as a carry, I always get sent mid.

Mid luna is ok, she has nice damage and a spammable nuke that you can also use to lasthit. If you go for a 5 man deathball lineup and you want a different hero to get sure farm you can park her mid.

Drow i dont like in any lineup apart from in a visage+venge trilane, since she is such a weak hero.

A recent trend has started though, where carries have been put mid. C9 started experimenting with it, then EG were the first to always do it. Now they always put RTZ on a carry mid, sometimes a more conventional one like DK or razor but often something like naga, PA, or lycan.
Other teams like IG have even put faceless void mid, after he became popualr as an offlaner.

Because in pubs people are weird, the good people who can actually last hit are usually the ones sensible enough to see that the team needs a support and so they pick one. The bad people are the ones who instapick a carry and go on to autoattack. I usually play a support too, I harass, attempt denies, and don't steal farm. The problem is that the carry can't last hit for **** so, yeah, pubs are dumb.

As for your mid question, I don't know. Maybe they think that carries need the most farm and levels(which they do). But when you put a squishy Luna carry mid against a Tinker, Skywrath, Pudge, any REAL mid, then they will get eaten alive.

So all in all, I don't even know why I play Dota 2 by myself anymore when I know I am gonna have the same problem as everyone else here. Probably because I don't have any friends who play and I am much worse than most of the people on this website.
