Not so sure. Look at a number of factors.

Performance in major tournaments.
OK, they were poor at Starladder, but apart from that they have qualified for everything and finished top 3 (i believe) in all of the other ones.
Consistency.
OK, again, except very recent history they have been very consistent. Only dropping a game here or there, maybe a series against one of the better teams. But generally they have been sitting at the top of JoinDota and GosuGamers leaderboards since their inception.
Star power.
Check. Yup, they have it.

With that considered i think they are certainties. After EG and Vici they would be most people's third invite.

Not trolling, honestly. I feel Secret lost their advantage that they had during DAC, and that was Puppey's Chen/Enigma. Now it's being banned out every game. Remember how Secret used to almost always win the laning stage? Now that's not happening.

Also, Arteezy's hero puddle isn't helping at all. 6.84 is all about team play, and, although Secret's individual skill is through the roof, their flexibility and their surprising drafts are completely ruined because of Arteezy's small hero puddle.

then yes i agree somewhat but jesus he plays in his puddle like a bawssss

and to no one's surprise, vici, eg and secret are the first three teams to get invites, followed up by ldb and invictus

C9 coming in there as well. welldone c9 though i did predict everyone so far. i think im going to lose out on my Malaysia over Rave though :(

And Virtus.Pro will join their Iron Curtain brethren Team Empire as the 8th invited team and Na'Vi's prospects are looking not too bright and Newbee might have to qualify in order to have a shot at a title defense.
