What you could do is get an offlaner to buy Silver Edge, then make it his personal duty to stalk Tide.

That's a waste.
You'll waste A LOT of gold to disable kraken that is imo not SO big of a deal. You'll have 0 utlity for your own team. 5k gold to disable an offlaners passive sucks. Of course of this is like I don't know, spririt breaker offlane or something, I guess it is fine since it is already a core item, but I wouldn't see a axe getting this item JUST to counter tide...

Some tides player (like me) prefers hiding into waiting the perfect ravage than manfighting and doing a so-so ravage. I know a lot of tides that manfight and ravage while fighting, but it usually ends in a PanicImGonnaDie ravage. Thats the ONLY way I'd see silver edge countering him. Even there, I think it's a bit too much to buy a 5k item for THAT reason, though if it's core for an hero and there is no one else to hit maybe it would be viable to do so. But it will happen for like, what, 1 occasion out of 30?

How to counter tide: Bkb >>>>>> Silver edge
"I can counter HIS PASSIVE SO HE MIGHT NOT THROW A PERFECT RAVAGE EHEHEH!"
"I can counter ALL OF HIS SPELLS AND MAKE HIM HARMLESS EHEHEHEH!"
