I heard how toxic the DOTA 2 community can be. I thought immediately that... well, I'm an okay gamer, so why not be a light in this community so that people will have someone cool to play with. I've been playing video games since I was 5 and have won several fighting game tournaments in my youth. I don't have the magic for fighting games, and I'm mediocre at FPS, but DOTA 2 has been a very pleasant experience for me and I'm catching on quick. I'd like to one day go pro or at least be a good enough player to be well-respected.
I have a long way to go, but my first goal is to complete the All-Hero Challenge so that I can say I know enough about all the characters to know what they can do. I'm not even going to touch ranked into April 1st 2018. About a year from when I started. That way, I can get good at a decent pool of characters before I dive in and raise my MMR.
Right now, I'm enjoying the support role, since I haven't quite gotten the hang of leveling up fast. I'm decent with Venomancer and Lich. My record so far for killing Roshan with Ursa is level 9, but that was in a bot match. I've seen videos on people killing him at level 1 and I would like to try that trick someday. I've been playing around with Viper and Sniper, but I'm not really good at mid lane yet. I don't have the safety of the shops at my disposal and I have yet to learn the art of when the proper time of using the courier is.
The first character for my All Heroes run is Undying. I don't like melee a lot, but I can get the job done on hard bots with a decent team. I think I'll try him in a normal match sometime this week.
Peace! ^_^
I remember when I started playing Dota and what a journey it was also since then :) feel free to ask anything you might have doubts about, I love to talk to new players and help them as much as possible! Also if you just want to talk keep sharing your experiences, we greatly appreciate it.
Cheers!
