I know that this year's brawl has been labeled as pay-to-win, which it is. But with the right combos of heroes and a good stack you can probably get some wins and some free items without paying. So, first off what combos of heroes synergize well to either keep the beast alive or quickly kill/render the opposing beast useless? I know heroes like Razor and Zeus and Ursa can kill, Razor saps its damage, ursa has fury swipes, and static field plus nukes can burst the beast somewhat(plus double zeus ult is good early game). Also heroes like Wyvern, Omni, Jugg, Magnus, etc can help sustain and buff the beast for your push. So what combos do you like? Have any ideas?

Picking the right heroes may be the best way to win and getting your team to pick good heroes may only be viable in a stack. I recently played a game where one guy said "pick all carries". ALL CARRIES!? WTF is the use of all carries when the enemy team just five manned with beast and took rax on their beast's first life...carries don't get the space to farm in this gamemode its all about the mass early push. I would also like to ask, in teamfights do you focus the beast or focus their team?

Lastly if anyone can play at around 3 AM on a Us East server my steam is:

You pick Magnus and Ogre Magi and Shadow Fiend. You max Empower and Bloodlust. Cast them on the beast. Win the game in 7 minutes.

I played two games yesterday, and won both.. It was a combination of good picks + good strategy..

Both games I played, I picked Drow Ranger.

Reasons for picking Drow:

1. Extreme early game push with Marksmanship.

2. Synergy with ranged heroes on my team (one of the games, I had a Sniper on my team; the other game, I had Nature's Prophet, Witch Doctor, Death Prophet).

3. Decent CC with Frost Arrows.

One thing that people seem to fail to understand is the fact that, year beast or not, it's still a "your team vs my team" game. I've seen many occasions where one team focuses the year beast entirely with all their abilities, and proceeds to lose the teamfight/game. With a 2700 HP AI unit, this isn't the best strategy. A much better way would be to focus the enemy team down, and once they are down, you can CC and kite the beast at leisure.

Some good heroes are: Drow Ranger, Razor, Zeus, Huskar, Nature's Prophet, Bristleback.

I had my first year beast brawl with a 4-stack of friends yesterday and we somehow won. My friends were all new to the game and I had done no research or anything on the event, so we planned to just play it like a normal match. Well... we let the first beast take both our mid towers before we realized we should do something about it, then lost most of the other fights after that. I seriously don't know how we did it, but eventually we won. See here: http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1245798123

The other team had a Silencer though, and that seemed like a REALLY good pick in this event. It forces you to either sit back and let the beast kill stuff or just go in and auto attack it to death.

I think it's best to pick off a support or something before going after the beast itself. If you get CC'd too hard he'll just rip you to shreds.

Good picks would be: Lion, Crystal Maiden, Lina, Disruptor, Earthshaker maybe.. The list goes on. Omniknight works pretty well too. Anything that can heal or buff the beast will obviously work, so Juggernaut is good.

After losing the initial events I was in, I found out that the team that has Zeus has basically won. So i try to pick him everytime. Since the game is not gonna be longer than 30 minutes, mid game heroes like him are very good.

I think killing the enemy beast and having yours live is extremely important, also, picking someone with an ability that the Beast has is great...

Does getting Agh's on Zeus let the beast have a Agh's upgrade?
