While I kinda see your point, if you're regularly having problems is it really fair on the people you're playing with to be constantly pausing or hanging around for you? I'd say 2-3 minutes pause for a DC is fair, after that it becomes increasingly unrealistic to expect people to wait for you, especially if they don't know you.

So while I appreciate there's not a lot you can do about it if you have no money of your own to fix your technical problems, there are 9 other people to consider in the match. I guess it would be a lot less of an issue if there weren't so many raqe quitters and the like around, but unfortunately everyone gets tar'd with the same brush.

Heres my thought :
. Idealistic scenarios entail that abandon is made for people to quit early rather to play an uninteresting game. What follows is a queue for people with bad connections in a low priority bracket.
I fthis were the case, no one would care what happens even if some1 would Dc. They wouldjust w8. In case someone doesnt come by 3-5mins, they deserve to remake the match.

Now lets introduce some variables here.
These are ragequitters, trolls and serial DCers(having lag, but still play doto)

RQs quit, trolls make some1 else quit and u know the serial DCs.

Now what happens is that a genuine player gets categorized into these firms of players. Especually in early game where no understanding among fresh players is established, it so happens that hitherto players are generalized as the persoms i talk about. Sure if its late game, blame the other 9 for not pausing.

In my experience, whenever i have had good mates and enemies, they pause, simple as that.

Your argument is time specific. A case where you think that 5 mins is too short.
I must put forth two statements

Isnt a half an hour game too short to know people and to empathize with theor position? We are here after all to have a good game and to avoid or get done with bad games.

Secondly, how in the heck can people stop for you if you cant communicate with them about your problems.? Pausing is proper dictum but can you have them abide by it?

Consider that 5 minute timer as the second chance that game gives you to prove yourself worthy of high priority queue. Next we might have a case of 10 minute abandon time and a player complains of that because he cane back at 11 mins and dc was not deliberately. Hiw can you sort bona-fide form the rest?

To conclude, try take people's rage light heartedly, they have had their fair share of bad plauers as i talked about. Worse, they may be even one of them. Get through the lp with your frnds. That way even the worst game is the best ; you are with your friends after all.

Pardon them mistakes. Frikkin mobile.
