Hello... I played a 1v1 match earlier today using Pugna against an Elder Titan. Im not sure what Pugna's lanes are supposed to be, so I come up with an idea.

Once, I fought a Pugna in a lane. And his Nether Wards are soooo strong. Not the damage itself, but the mana leak is incredible for lane control.

So I was wondering, if I spam Nether Ward for lane control at mid, would this be a legit build?

Well I guess you would still want your Nether Blast maxed ASAP for maximum pushing power, which really is what Pugna is all about. Value point in Decrepify is also really good. Then probably max Nether Ward.

So i guess my build would be:

4-1-1-1 by level 7

4-1-4-2 by level 11

I thinked of ways of playing Pugna recently, and I came to a conclusion that mid is his only lane since he is poor support and he needs farm but is too squishy to go hardlane and too weak for carrying.

He is situative mid tho and I don't think you would ever want to max E. I think maxing Q, taking one point in W and levelling E afterwards is mostly the way to go. About itembuild... he really needs stun protection, so I thinked of rushing BKB, but that's pretty greedy. Any thoughts on what to get?

This is mostly theory though as I didn't play mid Pugna, only sidelanes so I may be wrong.

he is either a mid or safelane carry, it mostly depends on your strategy. it doesnt matter that he doesnt carry hard since he can take rax in 15 minutes.

he isnt the strongest mid because of his squishyness. if you play him just destroy the tower when you feel you have enough farm and rotate to other lanes to destroy all towers. he is the strongest early pusher in the game so play him like one.
ofcourse max Q since that skill defines the hero.

If you want an idea of mid Pugna my only suggestion is watch Cloud9 vs EG in the World ESports championship final. In game 5 you see arteezy play pugna mid.
Your new diet for heroes; You will need 4 wards (cuz wards taste better), 1 set of tangoes, 1 mango, 1 cheese.
With this you can make a nice Tango Mango Cheese platter. You can wash this all down with a nice bottle of water, Can be flavoured with red, green, yellow, blue, purple AND GOLD!
Caution: Taking roshan 3 times is required.
