So I am totally new to moba thingy, but I am a tf2 comp player pushing dota2. I saw on streams pros last hitting using dota_stop.
How to?
I asked my friends playing dota 2 but they dont know the answer, them pub scrubs.

I know its some sort of auto attack, dota stop management, but i need step by step guide.

regards

spam the "S" key and right click the target you want to last hit at the same time, release the "S" key when it's time to last hit and keep right clicking cause sometimes if you don't your character may accidentally choose a new target.

Use this commands.
Find them in E:\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\cfg\config.cfg
Open config.cfg with Notepad/Wordpad.
The commands are:
1)dota_player_units_auto_attack 0 You will only attack creeps when right clicking them or issuing the "A" command, so you wont need to use S or H to avoid auto-attacking.
2)dota_force_right_click_attack 1 You will be able to attack your creeps with the right click command if health permits deny. So using this on your creep it will always try to deny him, if the creep has full hp and you click him nothing will happen. With this command on 0 value when your creep can't be denied you will issue a move command with the right click.
Don't insert the commands in the console because they wont save in the config.cfg and you will need to do it every time you exist and enter the game.
Hope it helps.

Seems a bit like cheating to me. I wouldn't recommended this, what's the fun if it isn't a challenge

It's not cheating, many use it. As long as Valve did not removed it until now i think they have no problem with it. They put the command there for people that were tired of button smashing, I for one find it very useful when I am paying attention at the courier, i feel relax staying for exp but knowing my hero wont autoattack.
Every site/forum that talks about dota2 has a thread with the console commands and what they do. I am not saying use it, but I see no reason why hresvelgr would not use this, especially that he is new to Dota2. As long as their are legal you have to keep an open mind to everything that makes your experience in game more enjoyable, so don't say you would not recommend just because you think it's cheating. Let the users decide for themselves, don't induce the idea that this is a method to cheat the game.

First of all I'm stating my opinion, and as far as I'm aware of, I'm allowed to do that here, so back off.

Just because you may think this is a good idea, doesn't mean everyone else does.
For a fact I didn't tell him not to use it, I simply said that I didn't recommend it because it's not getting you any better at the game, it's just being your little crutch.

For arguments sake let's just say they do make it so that you can't use this anymore sometime in the future. Then what do you have, no skill in last-hitting or denying and you have to start off at square one learning it.

Last of all, I never called this a CHEAT, I merely said that "Seems a bit like cheating to me.". This again is MY OPINION, not something that is a fact so don't say that I am trying to convince others that doing this is wrong, I just would not recommend it.

On topic:
Hresvelgr even though you now how to use the buttons to ease your farming. You need many hours of game play to gain some things like: how often does the catapult hit, how much damage the creeps do, how and when to drag the creeps near you by attacking the enemy hero, etc. Also keep in mind that auras like: life steal, +/-armor, hp regeneration can mess your last hitting if you don't take them in to account before you decide to strike the final blow.
Off topic.
Iratesniper why so sensitive? I did not offended you but I did not like the way you replied. In your first reply your opinion was based on nothing, now you have a point in saying that maybe in the future Valve will remove the command. AND IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU. The guy is new to Dota2, it would be so great if Dota2 had those 2 commands in default settings so maybe then the number of autoattacking lane mates would have been reduced from start. If you had said this argument from the start it would have been a good reason for some people to avoid it but instead you did like those dudes that think in counter strike that configs are cheating.
I stated that it would be good for a dude that it's new to Dota. And let him decide that, it is his topic. The above posts said about mushing S/H and use A.
The point of the topic is to provide ways to last hit like a "pro", not about your opinion.
The simple fact that you can have an opinion does not make it a bright one necessarily. So next time before posting bring arguments because you are nobody as I am nobody so why should someone just follow your advice for the simple fact that you have an opinion and you like to say it just for the simple fact that you are allowed:))
