Valar The Crystal Beast

The third hero for my spawnfest! This hero is the original version of Valar the Crystal Beast if any of you still remember.

Anyway, this hero is meant to be played as an flexible hero that need to be in close range with enemy heroes, and even initiating with his Q skill. His E skill also aids in initation, to keep himself alive. This hero is pretty interesting, might worth checking out (even if probably not that good and balanced since it's quite an old idea).

Lore

So... dark. Where am I? Who... am I? A consciousness thought inside the chaotic world. A consciousness oblivious of everything. "These should be perfect to create the Demon Edge. HAHAHAHA" and with that, a demonic voice faded away. Who was that? What happened here? While it is thinking, trying to recall anything, learn anything, a bright light shone through. He heard a cracking sound and he gaze his surrounding, now revealed.

His first sight into the world was a sea of fire, hordes of demons and an enormous chaos. His heart was heavy, filled with unknown feeling of sadness and grief. What happened here? Whilst he was thinking, he noticed his body changing. "What? That chunk of Radiant Ore... It took form?" A demon blacksmith spoke in horror and astonishment.

His feeling of sadness and grief change.
A new instinct had been born into the Ancient's spawn
An almost motherly instinct to protect
A vow he took to protect the Radiant
A vow he took to protect the world
"You are Valar, remember it well" a faint whisper he heard
A voice strangely familiar he heard when he took the vow

Took caution, The Dire
Took caution when you go to attack The Radiant
Bear in mind, the greatest guardian has come
A being with no form
A being with every form
He was the beginning
And he shall be your end
He shall be known as
The Crystal Beast

Love the lore. Absolutely love it.

I actually quite confused with the first skill (Q). Mid explaining it?

Valar has 75 Int at level 5. 75*5 is 375. 375+1000/2 is 687.5 damage to 2 targets... I guess it's balanced to have a long cooldown... but....

Otherwise, keep it coming, Yzreel!

Thanks Sofa :)

Okay, so the Shapeshift skill basically acts like this: pick a target hero, become that hero. Done lol. This skill lets you take the shape of an enemy hero, and then changes your nick and the stuffs (as seen by enemy) as the same as that hero, but if seen by allied only the model changes. This skill also take bonus HP/MP regen based on the target heroes' max HP, and deal bonus damage on breaking (like Shadow Walk). This skill is used to make enemies hesitate about you and to use it for initiating with other skills.

I know that it seems rather strong, but it is actually quite hard to land properly. I mean, if it's a teamfight, 800 radius is humongous (max lvl Sanity's Eclipse is only 575). This means that if used in a teamfight, the chance to hit 3 or more enemies is pretty big, thus reducing the effectivity of this skill (3 heroes is 1375/3 = 450-ish, 4 heroes is 1375/4 = 340-ish while 5 heroes is 1375/5 = 262.5 damage). I know how much the damage can actually do, but this is supposed to be a skill like Mystic Flare, hard to land properly but deals tremendous damage if used properly

Maybe make it so that the damage isn't instantaneous? Like Mystic Flare?

Oh, so do you get the target's spells?
Like Replicate?

Hmm... I guess I will, what do you think about "the damage is spread to 8 instances within a second", giving the enemy chances to react or safe friends inside it.

No, you don't get the spells, but yeah, pretty similar to it (although essentially very different)
