Cuchulainn the Culann Hound

I'm pretty bored currently and I have yet to finish my biggest idea of a hero, so I decided to post an older hero idea from my "hero stash" (lol, anyone interested to see the total of it? There's like 100 pages of Microsoft Word full of balanced ideas). Anyway, this one is inspired by Cuchulainn, a norse god (well, he's Lancer in FSN). So, yeah, probably not that balanced since this is an older idea, but here:

Lore:

One fiend had a habit to collect souls, travelling through dimensions and planes just to collect the souls of those he deems worthy. These are the souls of so-called God, lords and heroes that are trapped and never to be released until the day the demon vanishes. Cuchulainn is one of such soul, a heroic knight of an unknown land, said to be son of a god and stronger than even gods.

Cuchulainn was the prized collection of such fiend, said to contain the greatest life force of all souls that he was struggling even after his death. Every single moment, the fiend has to pour in his strength just to keep Cuchulainn locked, and one day, he just couldn’t stop him anymore.

Cuchulainn broke free into the World, a much different world than his own. The first sight he saw was that fiend, and he knew that the fiend was the one who locked him. Infuriated, Cuchulainn swore an oath that he shall be the one to end the fiend’s life. He became so enraged and bloodthirsty that even his face was shifted, a Warp Spasm that made him a demon. The fiend understood the danger, and quickly he escaped.

Now wandering the plane, Cuchulainn spent every single moment to find the fiend and complete his oath, no matter what he must go through. Such was his determination toward his oath and the strengths he held, that the prophecy of the druids transcends the limit of worlds.

Dangerous and wild is he
The Hound Of Culann
Dangerous and wild is he
The holder of Gae Bolg
Those who intervenes his oath
Be ready to meet his rage

Open piercing the opponent, barbs grow at the lance’s tip, damaging the unit and keeping him immobile and cannot cast blink / teleport, nor use any item until duration ends or the target is dead / attacked by a hero. Using this skill reduces Cuchulainn’s damage until he attacks the unit or effect ends. First hero damage taken by that unit is increased by 50%

- 55 piercing damage, 2.5 seconds duration
- 70 piercing damage, 3 seconds duration

The legendary Gae Bolg was said to be able to instantly slay everyone and everything.

[] Hound of Culann: The instinct of Chulann Hound is so keen and focused, that whenever he uses a skill, his body spontaneously reacts and unleash all the stored energy into one go. This skill allows him to leap 600 units ahead and increases his damage and movement speed, as well as capability to move through units until he lands one attack or after 3 seconds every times he uses a skill (casting item doesn’t trigger this skill.)

- 20% bonus damage and 10% movement speed

- 60% bonus damage and 30% movement speed
- 80% bonus damage and 40% movement speed

Type: Passive
Affect: Self

The prophesied Hound of Culann is dangerous and wild indeed

[E] Oath: Cuchulainn swears an oath of an enemy hero’s death or protect an allied hero. If he swears to an enemy hero’s death, he gains bonus attack speed and life steal when he attacks that hero. If he swears to protect an allied hero, part of damage that hero takes is given to him instead. However, if he fails to fulfill his oath within 30 seconds, he will permanently loses his maximum HP.

- 40% attack speed and 30% life steal. 70% damage taken

Type: Target Unit
Affect: Enemy / Allied heroes

HP lost / oath broken: 100 maximum HP
Cast Range: 700
MP Cost: 75
Cool Down: 40 seconds

An oath is not something to be taken lightly

[R] Warp Spasm: Cuchulainn became enraged and bloodthirsty, changing and distorting himself and his powers into one not weaker than the gods. Using this skill increases his armor, magic reduction and damage by the amount of Gae Bolg piercing damage of the level and activates the effect of Hound of Culann of the level that lasts for a number of attacks or for 5 seconds. When this skill is used, Cuchulainn cannot attack units other than the targeted unit until the number of attacks was accomplished, the unit is dead or after 5 seconds. He can still use items to other units, but not skills.

- 3 attacks, 5 bonus armor and 30% magic reduction
- 4 attacks, 10 bonus armor and 40% magic reduction
- 5 attacks, 15 bonus armor and 50% magic reduction

Type: Target Unit
Affects: Enemy units

MP Cost 200/225/250
Cool Down: 100/90/80 Seconds
Cast Range: 600/700/800

It actually seems pretty balanced to me. My only concern is that he's too much like Ursa with the bonus damage stuffs.

i like it, it kind works against a 4 protect one strat as he can focus on the "one" and gains bonus attack and speed against them. i like the [E] being as he can help a trilane but if that hero dies does that mean he does as well? because then a smart team would bait out Oath and get two kills for one, or is it a permanent 100unit loss of hp not 100% loss?

Haha just you wait dude, Bruce was a simple hero compared to the one im making now :D

we should have a complicated Hero-off with voting haha :)

Interesting hero idea. I'm sure the complicated one will come next, the idea that will beat Bruce at his own game :D.

Warp Spasm? Is that a reference to what I think it is, or is it a coincidence..... (>-_-)> I'm watching you...

@kkoopman: yeah, the ult is pretty much similar to Overpower and the role is pretty similar to Ursa as well, but the skillset is very different and requires a much different gameplay. Anyway, there's a ton of nuke skills that do same things, I think it's fine, no?

@smuggles: it reduces 100 max hp, not 100% (similar to duel, just the other way around), so this skill is supposed to be high risk high gain. Really? Then mine will trump it!

@pory: thank you dude, and yeah, Bruce is going down!

Yzreel always wins in the end. His irrefutable logic and foresight are an uncontested force.
