I believe that dota is indeed an extremely versatile game. There is no exact way to play a hero. Whatever works is accepted, and it trends sometimes. But i also think, that the way people play heroes in dota gets standardized quite a lot, and it just seems wrong to me. However, some hero builds really stand the test of time and prove that they are indeed, the way to go everytime that hero is played. For example phantom assasin.

However, this is a prospect I wish to change radically. And i believe that the change does not come with alterations to a hero itself, but instead with the items a hero buys. My first example of an item that can change the way a hero is played is this:

Elusive carcass hood.
Requires: talisman of evasion
Shadow amulet
Recipe (800)
Lvl 2 Recipe (1000)
Grants the user +30% evasion, +20% movement speed, 20 agi.
Passive: everytime the user evades an enemy attack, it heals back 6.5%(7.5)% of its max health.
When this item is equipped, the user cannot have magic resistance and lifesteal is 50% less effective. Max evasion rate on a hero becomes 65%. Level 2 elusive carcass hood nullifies true strike

now,you can see how radical this item is. If a hero decides to get this item, he becomes totally different in his item choices and gameplay. Of course, this is just one item, it can't change the way the game is played. But im suggesting radical item ideas like this, that can change the meta completely and how an item can affect the game for a hero or a team

Changelog:
Removed yasha and added a recipe level 1 and 2 for elusive carcass hood
Level 2 elusive hood nullifies true strikes

Like, which percentage is too high? The max hp heal or the evasion? Please elaborate on why the % is too high so that i can rectify the problem. As for why i placed it at 6.5%, it's because the user is wayyy more vulnerable to magick damage abilities. Of course 6.5% may not be the best number

5400 gold for such an item? I'd say it's overpriced, as an MKB can basically make it useless. I'd rather remove the Yasha and add a ~500 gold recipe.

Hmmm.... A valid point since the notion of a hero changing item should be a core item. I think i will remove the yasha. As for mkb, how about make mkb's true strike ineffective when a level 2 recipe is bought? Bad or good idea?

Seems OP, with the high evasion chance, you could pick this up on centaur and be unkillable, lets just say you have 3K HP each dodged hit gives his 225 HP back, with the chance on that, it is ~every third hit, so unless you can do 325+ damage in 2 hits, he will be far to hard to kill. I mean, lets just ignore this item for PA and look at the heros i does work with.

but the user would be completely vulnerable to magic damage, unless it's some pub game where everyone is playing a right-click carry like drow

What if I bought this on Huskar? That would make him invulnerable, really.

the item states that you cannot have magic resistance, so that point is invalid
