Only Final Fantasy X and XIII, no VII or VIII?

I only played through disc 1 of VII and didn't really feel like VIII had a good feel for what the world was like. VII was really mechanical / tech-y, which isn't bad but my favorites are usually more magical / natural feeling, which is why I like X and XIII.

Mass Effect is jut awesome because of the depth and character they had for all the alien races, so it was so fun to just walk around and listen to random citizen's conversations.

Since it was bumped and I happened to see this I felt the need to respond. Super late response 2013.

1) Na Pali - the planet that Unreal takes place on. This is not really because of graphics quality etc, but simply for sentimental value as one of my favourite PC-game series.

2) Azeroth - i've spent too much time in azeroth to not like it. All the easter eggs and the amount of thought put into the continuity is staggering. Honorable mention to Nagrand.

3) Oddworld - a throwback to my console days. Farting and burping your way through a world controlled by evil corporations. Again not exactly big or beautiful, but very fun memories.
Nerf paper. Scissors is fine.

Star Wars Universe or Elder Scrolls Universe. Both are sufficiently epic.

i want a mix of the never winter nights world
(which is basically dungeons and dragons)
with a dash of mass effect, a pinch of dragon age and a whole lot of Skyrim.
and maybe a sprinkling of halo to top it off...

I would love to live in Middle Earth. Maybe also Tamriel, specifically the Imperial City in Cyrodil. Personally, while I think that both Final Fantasy and Dragon Age are cool, think about the life expectancy. At least with Tamriel there is only ever one psychopathic murderer in the town. Then with Middle Earth, I'd either live in the secluded Shire or the secluded Mirkwood with the Elves or just anywhere secluded really. :P Also, the problem with minecraft is that punching trees would break your fingers. Just sayin. :P
This post is the most important thing you have read in your life.

ok ok ive been thinking about this and i know this will be long but just follow along.

environment - skyrim based but spread over 6 worlds orbiting a dying star each world has different cultures and a specific type of environment . i.e. planet name : Liasus - swamp marshes and heavy rain-forest and covered in rivers humid all year round.

and so forth for the other planets based on ice heat dry techno gas.

also a multitude of space stations and asteroid bases

this is based upon the setting in halo, dead space, mass effect, skyrim, witcher, D&D

culture- each planet has a specific culture genome. i.e. planet :Liasus - culture based around the pursuit of leisure/pleasure, complex partiachal royal family with a medieval caste system, low level of technology but high level of use of complex toxins and poisons, some of the best assassins and spies originate from here.

and so forth for the others, planet with a high Technic ceiling, one based upon a world wide religion, one based of the fighting skills.

this is based upon the setting in D&D and the witcher and also war hammer.

races- multitude of races from flight enabled ones living on the gas planet to deep sub terrain creatures and normal humans but with slight characteristic differences.
i,e. planet :Liasus - races divided between a multitude creatures the most dominant being the Li'Gres , human with adaptations to the environment like high resistance to all form of toxins, and higher range of hearing as well as sight. most noticeable changes is there slight green tinge to there skin as well as lisp when talking.

and so forth for the other planets.

this is based upon the classic swamp people from D&D universe as well as the witcher, mass effect, Kingdoms of amular, dragon age, avatar.

combat - everything haha ... due to peace ranging between the worlds for a millenium most forms of combat have been restrained to the point of a re construction in the way combat is engaged. previously it was gearing towards ranged action being the best course then as even ground personnel became redundant large scale interstellar fleet operations became the norm.
then with the cost of these massive fleets effectively bankrupting the planets governments and the lasting peace of the regions, combat de-evolved to a more personnel level, with small scale operations becoming increasingly more effective. thus swords and more close range melee options were once again introduced into the battle sphere.

this is based upon mass effect, the witcher, skyrim, D&D, halo, and a variety of books.

little blurb -

"the planets lived in peace, never having more then slight conflicts between each other.
interstellar trade was booming, with sub-light speed flights between the worlds became cheaper and cheaper and the holiday makers were flocking between planets at an ever increasing rate with the number of resettled foreigners steadily climbing. it was a era of multiculturalism and openness.

then the stars started to go out"
