Title pretty much says it all. If you're able to snowball and grab it well before someone is able to build an MKB, do you think it would be effective in continuing your snowball, in particular against high physical damage lineups?

Well evasion can stack but it's still diminishing so you don't get as much out of it as other agi carries, I'd rather see you go pure +damage since you get 4 free attacks with the blink strike, like a desolator + phase boots into bkb etc.

Like the saying don't put all your eggs into the same basket; you're a PA, the enemy is going to build a MKB anyway so that's a lot of gold wasted on something that gives you a relatively small timeframe of snowballing.

Now that I think about it maybe shadow blade could be interesting, blink in, get a kill, invis out? Not sure, the attack speed is sort of wasted early on.

Anyway my theory-crafting aside you can always try it out but it's really only viable against a really right-click orientated team.

Hope I could help :-)

(EDIT: I consciously ignore the possibility of picking up a battlefury in this situation since I dislike it on PA unless there's an enigma / magnus / dark seer on your team, but it would depend on the situation, as with all builds :P)

In a word...no. Butterfly isn't a good rush item as the benefits only really stack up well in the late game (when enemy players have sufficient physical damage to make it effective). On PA it's even worse as you're basically begging them to get an MKB asap!

As noted, better to rush some damage, HP and utility items. Drum of Endurance and Black King Bar would do a lot more for you, or maybe if you're looking to snowball and they don't have much magic damage, Armlet of Mordiggian and a Helm of the Dominator even. Alternatives would include Desolator, Skull Basher, etc, but would leave you a bit of a glass cannon.

You can go a quite some different builds. Ive only played PA once online but in that particular game i got treads, BKB, basher into abysal just to dunk their bkb sven. Your damage is high from the crit anyway so you dont always need high damage items immediatelly. So an early basher is actually pretty good if you want to manfight an enemy hero.

I guess I should have been clearer: I don't think it would be a good snow all "rush" but rather following 2 other items.

I was thinking more incorporating it into a drum/helm/basher build. Preferably after those three. It is for sure impossible to do so with the more dates Bf build, as I'm confident by the time you finished ricing those two items an MKB would be all but done on the enemy team. So I really only feel this is possible on a variation of the drum/basher build.

I also agree with the eggs in the same basket thing, but if you're so far ahead that an MlB is far from the enemy's inventory, would the extra evasion make you nigh unkillable to right clickers?

I once picked one up after a regular build, as I was so far ahead I was fountain diving, but it really planted the idea of it being possible before super basher/MKB .

Thanks for the input everyone!

For the record, Battlefury is more built for its farming ability than its teamfight usage.
But I agree, unless you're against a right-click heavy team, and you are really snowballing, I wouldn't recommend it.
