This team called AVE had a match (against VT) and they lost somehow to a Medusa that took shield and stats early on and nothing else, and a Dagon rush mid Nature's Prophet that followed with a Blademail.

Literally none of Ave's ganks were successful at all, they decided to put a Sentry Ward smack down in the middle of the river, despite Nature's Prophet being the enemy mid. Though the enemy mid was probably expected to be the enemy Weaver and that's probably why the ward was there, but they still put it without confirmation of the enemy mid.

Those are but a few of the many parts lacking for the match.

This post in no way is against Koreans, the professional dota 2 scene just rolled in and all I watched was 1 game which is definitely not enough to analyze the whole country's scene so what happened was expected anyway, but it made me wonder what teams in Korea are actually pretty good right now.

Also, what games have you watched so far in the Korean scene which can be considered really good

Just saw a game of EOT vs FGG, and I was surprised to see the strange mistakes FGG made. They got completely owned by their opponents who was using a Lion, Naga and Razor, which worked exceptionally well against the enemy's Lifestealer, Vengeful Spirit and another support. I liked the bit abnormal picks versus those seen by Chinese and Western teams (like Lion, or offlane Silencer).

They're still trying to figure out the mechanics of each hero and practicing strategies. You've got to remember the Korean teams don't have the experience yet so they're still a bit behind. Will probably take another year or two before they're at a good level.

They are very inexperienced. Also, all of the korean matches I saw were very one sided. Idk what they are doing, really :c

It will take them a lot of practice and tournaments to match a 'casual semi-pro' team from Europe.. I think they should watch our competitive teams and examine their style, and somehow adapt to it.

I'm glad they're bored of their SC2 hegemony and have decided to take on something new and challenging. I think it's fair to assume the big teams: FXO, Startale, MVP, EoT will be at least as good as MUFC by TI4, and will merit a direct invite.

The upcoming OGN tournament will really speed up their progress. Personally I'm not looking forward to an embarrassing stomp-fest. The 8 int'l teams will put on a good show among themselves I guess.
