Dota Fire is filled with many resources to assist in learning how to play heroes. It would feel kind of repetitive to write up advice for lone druid when there is

I am not trying to advertise, its just that these can help you a lot more than me.
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.
