I read somewhere that someone had decided to build two boots on a hero, probably not such a great idea as I don't think the movement speeds stack, which movement speed increase would be applied to your hero?

For example if I had a tranquil and phase boots, would it take the highest movement speed or the first pair of boots in your inventory?

Looks like Kyphoid is getting to someone.

The speed does not stack, of course, but the higher speed value between the 2 boots will be applied.

So you would get +75 when not taking damage because of tranqs. The phase ability will be based on that 75 ms + your base movement speed + other speed boosting items. But please don't get double boots. Ever.

Even if it makes you fast, it's a huge waste of gold.

If you're looking for items that would make you faster, consider Drums of Endurance, and possibly Euls Scepter or Yasha.

Eul's gives you a flat Movement Speed boost which stacks with Boots of Speed or any other Boots, whereas Drums of Enduance and Yasha give you % based boosts.

Err it's not THAT bad to get 2 boots once in a while. I forget which pro did this recently but I'm pretty sure he went treads + (mana boots or tranquils). Only do this when you know what you're doing.

there's this trick though, but only if you need hp and mana constatnly.
buy boots, energy booster, ring of protection and ring of regeneration. you can alternate between arcane and tranquil boots. at the cost of some inventory space though.
