I think Warlock is pretty awesome, along with Disruptor.
I got to Notable, Thanks!

I think Lich is the best support due to his versatility. He's a nuker, excellent at harassing, gives armour, slows and controls the creep waves like no one else. Best all round support, biggest problem is he doesn't scale well.

Lina, Lion, Earthshaker, Sand King, Ancient Apparition, Shadow Shaman, Venomancer, Leshrac, Zeus(!!!!!!!), Jakiro, Ogre Magi, RRRR Rubick, Omniknight, Keeper of the Light, Skywrath Mage and Io (with spirits).

Tell me if I missed any supports with crowd control power.

If you want CC, Shadow Shaman, Lion, Bane and Earthshaker all have bucket loads, Ogre Magi and Crystal Maiden also have a slow and a stun.

I reckon Chen should also be on the list as he is a great hard support, maybe not so good in lane but overall he is good if played well, micromanaging can be a bit of a pain though. -_-

So to find one I like do you recommend I just play them until I find one I like?

Also, are all supports squishy due to them having to buy consumables etc.?

Not all supports are squishy, for example Bane, Jakiro and Ogre Magi are pretty durable. Also, not being able to buy items is an issue as well, since they'll always be in disadvantage.
