Hi, i really like Pudge as a hero. He's super fun and games never get boring, even if you're loosing. however this is not true if you are under lvld, having said that Pudge does not need as much farm to snowball, just enough for boots and some all regen- bottle, arcanes, drums. i would really like to try this out and not play Pudge in a lane, maybe even with a roaming support partner that could help stack and kill creeps to share some exp. i am also aiming to play him as a 4th position support, so some farm could be allocated to him. Thoughts?

Pudge need his EXP more than anything and he can get the most EXP mid. It might work but is outclassed by a hero like Nyx.
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.

I think it is definitely viable. People always say that he needs the solo lane for exp but people also said that about Nyx Assassin before he started getting played as support. In the end-game, Pudge will still fill the same role, someone to catch an enemy out and ult him while your team kills whoever you lock down. You can also roam like an Earthshaker or Crystal Maiden would. This doesn't make him the best support, but I don't think it would be bad.

It can work as a kill lane combo with a hero like Omniknight or Dark Seer - their abilities combo nicely. You've GOT to land those hooks though and get kills, otherwise you end up underlevelled and out harassed.

You want to play a support Pudge but yet you say that he's not that good "if you are underlevelled", implying that you can keep up with the levels of your other teammates if supporting while it's usually not true.

Aside from that, I think it's a very good idea: I've seen him being run in a 3vs3 lane with just Tranquil Boots and Observer Wards/ Sentry Wards in a competitive match (I don't remember which one, but not very recent); I believe that team had lost the match, but their laning stage was pretty solid. If you can land those hooks the damage is noticeable even with two points in it, plus the Rot slow and damage over time is very useful if you can get close to an enemy (thanks to your other teammates' stuns, maybe). Also, if you hook an enemy sitting under his tower it's almost always a granted kill unless his teammates come to help him.

Yes i do understand that the first few levels are crucial, however i would like to implement some jungle farm with stacks and pulls to the mid lane and btm lane in order to get that fast lvl 5 or 6 with tranquils or something. (something along the lines of an Axe or Chen in the jungle) This will hopefully allow him to then gank and gain exp that way. The same way a Nyx would gain his levels as a support. Yes it will definitely be slower than a solo mid roll, however it could still be viable, as it could surprise certain people and similar to a Nyx you would mainly target under-farmed, underleveled int supports, who as a pudge u should really always kill within 1 hook.

Having said this, i realise how important it is to land your hook, making roaming support heroes like Nyx a much better pick (it is a lot easier to hit his combo). so i suppose it might not be a very good hero for this roll, since there are other heroes that a accomplish this more efficiently.
