I enjoy playing Faceless Void very much but I don't know if getting Battle Fury or Mask of Madness first is a better idea. I eventually get both but which one makes building the other one easier and which one gives the most benefits when bought first?
It depends with MOM early you can pick up some kills in your chronosphere and it helps farming a bit faster.Ive never actually tried to rush Battlefury on Void.I guess ill vote madness due to the fact you cna pick up some kills and farm a bit faster.Hope my reply has helped.
I always go for Mask of Madness first, because it gives you a massive attack speed boost and also lifesteal, and you can get really easy kills using it, also it's much cheaper than Battle Fury, you can just get it later on.
That attack speed boost is great for early game, so that's why I pick it up asap.
Everyone with his own playstyle through!

Mask of Madness first if you want to do more fighting early on. You already have good attack speed, and with the boosted active and lifesteal you will have much more survivability with MoM than Battle fury. On the other hand Battle Fury helps immensely while farming, so it's really up to your play style.
I personally like MoM first, like hades said, because of the huge attack speed boost, which really helps because of your time lock. Also, the lifesteal helps in lane sustain.
The main reason to get Battlefury is to farm.
With MoM's active, you can farm just as well as a battlefury.
In addition, MoM is more useful for ganks, as it procs FV's bashes.
I only pick up Mask of Madness early if the enemy is forcing my entire team to be aggressive. Otherwise I would like to play safe and take a Battle Fury and farm until I have my Butterfly and then it is pretty much GG. Besides, most games where I have been playing Faceless Void, they usually have forced me to max Time Walk and Backtrack over Time Lock, so yeah, I have most of the time not been able to reap the benefits from a Mask of Madness, but surely, it is a great item if you are going aggressive void and know you can survive the annoying damage amplification.
MoM is good early when the enemy team's nukes wont do too much damage, later on though you will get bursted down or right-clicked to death when you have MoM on. By then you should have used your Bfury to farm all your GG items anyway.
I would actually never pick up MoM unless I was playing with a lower-level stack and would therefore be matchmade with new players. The damage amp is too significant a detriment, and if you build it the enemy team knows that they not only have gimped your lategame by ~5-8 minutes, but just need to avoid being caught solo against you.
Additionally, there's a other builds with Void that are being used competitively -- I should mention MoM first is not actually one of them. One of them (the "Aui-2000 build") goes tranquils+ Hand of Midas into maelstrom+vlads+treads if you know that you won't be able to afk farm with a battlefury.
That said, I think if you're playing with new players or against a team composition that lacks any sort of hard disable or ranged DPS MoM is incredibly strong as a snowball item. It kind of turns you into an ursa against new players -- they just can't stand and 1v1 fight you, they need to stun you and be with their team.
I get MoM first because not only does it give you a scary crono nut it helps with lane/jungle. Once you get life steal up you are very hard to force out of lane. Also in the jungle the attack speed helps a lot. Of course late game it lowers you E-hp so low you should sell it if the game drags on. (The game should drag on since you ahve picked a hard cary)
My lone druid starting items are 12 Iron wood branches, 6 for the hero and 6 for the bear. Even if the bear does not get stats more twigs are OP on any hero.
