Questions from a new guy.

Hi everyone.

I come here from the now somewhat desolate DotaConcepts Reddit Page and plan to migrate some of my better hero concepts from there. Hopefully I can attract some fresh pair of eyes for a change and arouse some discussion, but before that I have some questions.

I read the general rules and guidelines, but is there any additional rules for the "Hero & Item Ideas" subsection? For example this thread is not a hero or item concept, but is very much related to it as I'm asking questions about it and intend to mostly post here.

What's your thoughts on simply providing an outside link to where your concept is located? I see that all concepts here is written on the dotafire forum. I'm used to using the dotaconcept.com editor for my concepts since it makes everything look nice and more importantly, there I can edit and save my concept over a long time before I finally post it on a forum. I'm not necessarily asking about the rules here but rather in what form people here appreciate concepts being displayed in.

Welcome to DOTAFire, this thread is just fine here and it doesn't break any rules. Also, there aren't specific rules for this subsection, but if there's the case of additional rules for specific subsections, you'll most probably find a sticky with the additional rules. Of course, the general rules of DOTAFire must be respected at all times.

Speaking about dotaconcept, we would greatly appreciate if you would post your concepts here, on our website, using our formatting tools instead of dotaconcept. We will have our own hero concept system that will allow users to vote, discuss and craft complex concepts. I hope this sounds good to you. :)

This concept system you mentioned. Are you saying that you have one or that there will be one in the future? I couldn't find one other than the "Craft Guide", but that didn't seem to be for hero concepts.

We are going to have one. We currently have a system for concepts on our Heroes of The Storm website, but we will have one soon enough on DOTAFire as well.

Ok thanks. I'm now trying to make a hero concept template, but some bbcode doesn't seem to work such as changing font size. Do you have a post containing enabled bbcode commands for this site somewhere?
