In a serious match Eye of Skadi is always better than octarine.

Skadi is ~300 more HP, 25 AGI, and the slow. The 25 AGI from skadi is far better for damage than the cooldown reduction on his passive.

Now that skadi stacks with Desolator it's really the no-brainer HP item for Weaver.

I guess you guys are right. I'm not done testing but i've done some testing and the DPS from any build with Octarine in it is lower than I thought. A normal Weaver build with a Diffusal gave me ~2000 DPS, but the one of the Octarine builds gave me only ~1400 DPS. And i'm not even sure if the Diffusal Mana Burn damage was added on the test dummy. But your EHP is very nice with it, especially if you also get a Skadi and Linkens.

Good on you for testing it Sclipzer, it's always interesting to see if these ideas work or not. I may have poo-poo'd it, but it's good that you're thinking outside the usual builds and considering less common options.

Wow how nice, when i was testing the super tank build for Huskar - physical and magical tank by building armor, evasion and hp pool and ignore most of his killing potential to soak as much damage as possible in a team fight - every one said i'm ****ing crazy not to mention reports and other swears.
It's good to have nice people here.

I've tried this before. He gets almost no downtime on Shukuchi, and of course reduced CD on his other spells, but it's not really worth all that gold because all his abilities have fairly short CD already and don't even use that much mana. It's a waste of gold. I would rather get Skadi, Manta or whatever. Weaver is very straightforward hero, so he doesn't have many build variants.
