Maybe he doesn't play ranked and his hidden n mmr is somewhere near 3k?

Hi all.

In a desperate attempt to hide past mistakes and fallacies, I have decided to start over, completely. I created a smurf account to see how far I can go, solo-queue-wise, so I don't have to be stuck at 1.6k mmr or something :(
...

unlikely but hey to be sub 2k doesn't means ur completly dumb ;) and can not make good guides.

Well, I'd like to say my hidden mmr was at around ~2.5k... but when I was calibrating, there were FOUR games that were abandoned (by my team obviously), so I ended up at around 1.7k. :(

OT: I'll be playing very sparsely (because of school), but I'll try to play at least one game on Saturday and one game on Sunday.

It's hard to find a time where your friends are offline... cus when there online, you're supposed to go play with them, right? :P

Best Luck raising above 2k was a hard job. 2k to 2,1k is quite easier.

Hat breaking points at 1,5k and 1,9k. Took me a couple of tries. Of going up 300mmr and down 300mmr.

You shouldn't play more games than 2 a day. Maybe when you are on a winning streak some more till you loose the 1st time.

{POLL HERE!}

Yea, thanks guys! I'll be playing my second game soon, probably on Saturday. Meanwhile, I'll be logging my Puck journey here.

Community Chat #1: Hero Pool

When Xyrus had his road to 2k thing, we had a huge discussion on hero pool. I'd like to bring that up to you guys once again, but specific requirements in mind.

I will be sticking to mainly 5 heroes, (hopefully one in each role, but that depends)
If possible, give me all five for me to choose, and I will tally/graph it out.

Requirements:
  • At least 2 of each attack type (ranged vs melee)
  • One of every role
  • No major micro required (nothing past necro units and manta style)

Thanks so much,
Oikonomia (Sofa)

Zeus - has been strong in every single patch, now stronger than ever with the addition of Aether Lens. Really good in pubs because of his power and utility. Can play pos 2-4

Spectre - Another hero that's really good in pubs, mainly because pubs have a problem coordinating and many players below 4k don't like pushing. As long as you get a decent lane partner and a team that allows you to farm, you'll be fine.

Lion - really good disables, nice nuking power. In my games, many people pick carries, and end up with little to none disables. This is one of 3 solutions that I suggest or pick myself, when our team is geared more towards ganking.

Earthshaker - The second of the 3 heroes that I recommend, this is for teams that revolve around teamfights. Can be played in ganking teams as well, and if worse come to worse, there's always critshaker.

Shadow Shaman - The 3rd of the support trio, this is really straightforward. Pick him up in pushing teams. He has 2 disables that are really good, second only to lion.

Slark/ Ursa - a huge problem in uncoordinated pubs, because these 2 are really good at their job, killing people. Ursa is better for the midgame, while slark scales insanely well into the lategame

Pudge - hey, there's a good reason pudge is so popular in pubs, and still has a positive win rate. Pubs, even in the 3k that I am in right now, hate supporting with a passion, and most games there are a lack of wards. Pudge loves it when enemies don't see him. Simple as that.

Zeus - Great idea! I will probably train him a bit on my main account, then proceed to destroy those mortals :)

Spectre: Personally, I prefer the Slahser Anti-Mage to Spectre, because there will almost never be a teamfight where you can haunt to, because pubs are VERY uncoordinated.

Lion - Yea, I've been playing Lion a lot on my main account. He's really fun to play and wins games by bootsing your team's moral

Pudge - Noooooo. I don't like pudge :P

Anti mage is really good as well, he just doesn't scale as well into the lategame as Spectre. My favorite hero to use now is actually Sven. Stronger than anti mage in the early game, and can decimate teams in the lategame. You also push like a tiny with your ult on.

8/9 games played on ranked won, sven strong :) the one game I lost I was the support sven who picked 2ND but everyone picked carry so...
