I am taking this name for my in game ID. Thank you.

Can a support alchemist be effective in farming aghs? I can hardly think so. What with warding and keeping watch, its hardly doable until the 35 min mark. Most cores need a 20 minute aghs I believe.

You also go obviously for the stun early isn't it, so early farm is a no-no. Stacking small camp helps but shamefully hinders the safelane equilibrium

Hamster, did you try crimson guard build when I suggested it last patch? so if someone can validate that the build works still, he will have my thanks.

I have another question: Halberd. How do low skill level players perceive this item? And particularly on alchemist.

I must accept that the discussion on core alchemist ensued once I touched the topic. My apologies to the involved parties

Likely way before that if you actually stack camps and Acid Spray them down to farm a fast blink.
I still don't know the optimal skill build but AFAIK it's more something like 2/3/1. You need points in spray as well, not just in stun ; while greed is a really good value point, especially on a support, since it essentially only increases the max cap.

Besides, just compare with core Alch and his AFK farming 30 minute average octarine into selfish items. Support Alch is still going to give away aghs sooner than core Alch. Way sooner.

Very few cores have a strict timing on their aghs. Lina maybe...that's about it. Don't give aghs to heroes with ****py upgrades, only those with game changing ones.

I'm not an Alch spammer, so no. I only played him to test the hero when the patch came out ; I have far, far better mains this patch so I have no reason to ever pick him right now.

Crimson Guard is an AMAZING item this patch though. I buy it on quite a few heroes and it owns. It got buffed way over the top IMO...ez teamfights. So it can't be bad. It doesn't help you farm in any way, but the item itself is really good.

Being a low skill player myself, I'm of course going to answer that XD

So...

Halberd is situational on lots of heroes Alch included. It's best bought either on offlaners, or on supports. How good it is depends completely on the heroes you're facing. Are you playing against ranged carries that don't buy BKB, or are the fights long enough that you can wait out their BKB and then halberd them? Then it's great.

Are you playing against those scrub Medusas who rush linkens and don't buy BKB? Are you playing against those scrub Windrangers who don't go BKB? Buy halberd win game.

Just don't make it way too obvious. Nobody likes that, including me.
