I don't really think I have played against a bounty hunter as lycan so I don't really know how big of a threat it is.

You just have to watch some high level game with Bounty Hunter to figure out why he is the best counter to any jungling activity ( Chen, Enigma, etc). And armc3j explained it more synthetically - you have someone who, because has invisibility for long periods, can block your camps from respawning (with wards or even just by staying there at the minute mark), sap your XP (just by staying near you while you farm, making you level up 50% less) and harass you with hits in-between, burning your consumables and maybe even killing you if you get too low. This makes your jungling even more inefficient than it was from the start.

Do you a match ID or something so I can check it out for myself?

Bounty Hunter is so out of the meta that you'll have to dig deep for a pro game with that (never seen one with him being used in such a way - just usually saps XP top and ganks mid at level 3 with a rune). But being used by pro players in pubs, a big difference. Again, won't find one as easily, but you have a better chance finding a pub/ranked game than a pro game.

No offence intended here, but have you been watching the pro scene at all since The Summit 3? Bounty Hunter is a fairly common pick-up, and at the very least gets a lot of ban potential. And that was the tourney I believe he started getting attention in.

In fact that specific cause was the reason the hero got shifted into the meta in the first place, because people wanted a counter pick to Chen, who was an extremely powerful hero at the time. Since then people realised how much the hero can do even at level 1-2, and how absurd Track gold can be right now after a decent team-fight (And since this is a skirmishing meta...) and is a pretty common support pick-up, even without a Chen to counter.

In fact, you'll be harder pressed to find a Bounty Hunter offlane game sooner than a Bounty Hunter support game.

EDIT; As for a match ID, as I said go back to the Summit 3 (I think it was), over the course of that tourney you so both a BH crippling Chen's, to a Chen that actually managed to force the BH out of his jungle, and still have the reguar impact (Which is an extremely hard thing to do)

Since you just can't have enough Chaos Breaker.

Wulf doesnt watch competetive confirmed. He even has about an 80% winrate in pro games in the last week.
In 6.84 he is the 25th most picked hero and has the highest winrate of all those 25 by far with 65%.

Picking Bounty Hunter as a Chen counter sounds like a terrible idea.

Bounty is probably the worst hero in the game to deal with a pushling lineup. Zero waveclear, laughable teamfight presence, and only comeback potential with this hero is to get pickoffs on isolated heroes. And since all Chen ever does is 5-man push...yeah.

It's like picking Clinkz just because he eats Chen creeps...Chen destroys Clinkz not the other way 'round guys. When you get your base pushed at the 25 minute mark there's literally zero comeback possible, sure you just ate one of the 4 creeps that's destroying your rax but it's still GG, nice counterpick scrub :)

I mean, I don't know for you guys, but if I wanted to conter one of the strongest early-midgame pushers in the game I'm pick heroes with good counterpush, like Tinker or something. Ember Spirit deals really well with Chen creeps since the HP nerf. Keeper of the Light if you need a support...or Ancient Apparition to get easy ults, slowly chip down health and prevent healing...etc. That's the kind of heroes that I've always seen to deal well with Chen in my pubs because they stop the push. Not bounty feeder who can only annoy him in the jungle and at most delay his mek by 1 minute...and do literally nothing once the enemy team groups up :)

...besides Chen destroys Bounty in a manfight. Bounty has literally no way to manfight the hero + 2 creeps. Chen even has more burst damage than bounty! Bounty's only hope is literally limited to harassing Chen and snipe his counier when he brings regen or Mek parts.

Bounty can deal pretty well with Enchantress and decently with Enigma (although eidolons still 3-shot him), he can annoy Axe extremely hard and kill his tranquils...but Chen, really not a fan.

no no no haha u dont understand. he counters chen in the way that chen can never get to that "Stage" quick enough. you are sitting next to him sapping xp and when a big creep is close to death you last hit it for the gold then shadow walk away. you are constantly off the map and since chen is jungling you have reliable xp while moving between lanes. just find chen and sit there till you get a big creep then rotate to mid for gank. or you wait till chen gets lowish and try to kill.... ez

by doing this your forcing chen to spend money on sentries and dust and to ask for rotations from safelane support letting your offlaner get some serious gold and xp which in turn hurts there safelaner. now you all u do is move mid and harass.

by doing this your basically strong arming chen into a 20-30 minute timing window when he usally wants to hit the 10-20 minute window and he isnt strong past the 30 minute mark. so you completly nullify the early push which chen brings to the table. this allows core items and more xp and tats when chen falls off.

thats why bounty is strong against a chen.

But doesn't Chen only need level 5 and no items to come online? I mean how can you even shut down this hero? He needs nothing! It's like ganking the enemy Dazzle to delay his farm :)

At most you'll delay his mek by a few minutes, but he can still push without it.

...and even then you don't even see that much of Chens going mek in competitive these days. generally they leave the mek to the solo mid like Shadow Fiend or Viper, so the Chen needs nothing and can rush Aghs.
