CHARON THE GATEKEEPER OF SOULS


MELEE | INTELLIGENCE | CARRY | DISABLER


Charon is a Melee Intelligence Carry with the ability to tear foes apart with his high amounts of Pure damage and slows.
He can chase enemies with his Frigid Wind, dealing decent damage in the early game and slowing foes in the process.
With Judgement, Charon can completely disable an enemy hero and deal damage within an area.
Frozen Abyss allows him to contribute to teamfights with its slow and damage amplification.
Finally, his Ultimate Malevolent Edge allows him to hit even the most evasive of heroes, as well as ignore any armor the have.
As long as Charon is well stocked on mana for his devastating spells, only the cold embrace of death shall await his foes.

LORE

As the Gatekeeper of Souls, Charon was entrusted to bring souls of the newly dead down the River Styx, into the realm of the Dead. But as the souls of the newly dead started vanishing into the realm of the Living, Charon was dispatched to return the souls to the Underworld. But as he cut down the form of one particular escaped soul, it regrouped to form another body from the remains. Enraged, his rage was channeled into his scythe, and severed the soul of the new form. On that night, Charon realized that if a soul would be stubborn, then to exterminate it shall be the only way to wipe it off the realm of the Living. Besides, traffic on the Styx is already so congested.

Charon slices the air, sending a frigid blade of air that freezes foes to their core, dealing Pure damage and slowing their movement speed and attack speed.

Charon's wicked scythe is capable of freezing all things material, or immaterial.

SECOND SKILL: Judgement

Charon captures the enemy's soul, purging it of all buffs and debuffs, causing it to become Silenced, Muted, Disarmed, and gain 100% evasion and magic resistance for a short period. The enemy receives a percentage of it's current health as damage every second, and will deal that damage as Pure damage to other nearby enemies.

THIRD SKILL: Frozen Abyss

Charon opens a gateway to Hell, slowing nearby enemy units and pulling them towards it at a speed of 50. Enemy units under the effect of Frozen Abyss will take bonus damage from all sources. Only one gateway may be open on each side at any time.

I like the concept of Int Melee there arn't many of the, this seems a little powerful though, he has a few support abilities slows and damage buffs. But he seems like a semi-carry I guess, I like the ultimate.

Seems really, really OP against heroes like Anti Mage or Phantom Assassin who have high Armor/Magic resistance/Evasion and low HP or are reliant on BKB. If Frigid Wind goes through BKB, that would be huge too.

Even more though, that Aghanim's Scepter stacks with Daedalus, which is a bit insane. Also, Scythe of Vyse is a thing.


I think that he is a bit TOO good, and that he should have a different Aghanim's Scepter upgrade than that x1.5 Attack damage as pure damage. That has true strike. Seems too good.

Other good items would be Orchid Malevolence, Black King Bar, and much more importantly, to midigate the INSANE squishiness, Drums of [[Endurance.

Woah Woah Woah! 27.1% HP burn from full health on a 10 second cooldown?! WHAT? Also, a team wide 40% slow and damage amp for NINE SECONDS?! That's an auto-win in a teamfight. I like the basic themes of these abilities but please shrink the numbers by A LOT. Also, if it's a melee hero it needs a bit more starting strength because 307 health is EZ KATKA

In which way is a too powerful, I could change it. I was actually aiming at a powerful, but extremely mana-dependent and squishy carry hero.

I forgot to mkention none of the spells pierce Spell Immunity except for the Ult. As to the Daedalus, I'll rework the Ult. Upgrade for Malevolent Edge.

I'll tone done the durations and HP burn percentage. I was aiming high, to see how it should be tweaked. As for the Strength, I'll keep it low, but buff the Base Armor and HP values. It's supposed to be squishy.
