I am currently on my 10th loss in a row. I don't know what is happening. What I am noticing it a recent flux of Weaver. Oh god don't get me started on Weaver. He is the closest thing to a broken hero at the moment in my opinion. He is a monster. I buy dust, wards, gem, but I can squash that ****-roach. I think this is affecting me somewhat.

Another factor is probably my mindset, which is being overwhelmingly corrupted by loss after loss after loss. And I'm not feeding. Every single game I have tried and gotten a decent KDA, but to no avail. I start rounds optimistic, but I can just feel the game plummeting downhill fast, literally with the enemies snowballing.

In conclusion? what should I do about this? I think I might just take a break for a few days and come back to it. but the other part of me is telling me just to spam Riki or Weaver until I can get some confidence. I don't know. I am in such a bad mood because of it.

And then I watched Game of Thrones. The season finale. Worst finale ever.

Game of thrones spoilers

Could you guys watch some of these replays to give me constructive criticism?
PA Game
Slark Game
Skywrath Game

I know a lot of this was just really bad plays on my part, and a lot of bad decisions.

The facts:
  • Decent KDA =/= well played
  • Weaver =/= OP
  • Mindset = everything
My honest and crude opinion:
  • Dota's a game - if you can't play without getting angry, why play? If you're frustrated, take a break, do something else. Quit Dota if you're not enjoying it anymore. It's a game, treat it as one.
  • You've lost 10 matches, so what? When you're playing with 4 random people, the outcome is 80% random (No, that's not how math works but you get the point). Some times you'll lose 10 times in a row; some times you'll win 10 times in a row.
  • If you're having trouble with Weaver or Riki or anything else in particular, figure out why. Then do something about it! Counter-pick like a ***** if you want to, or try to use your head while you play. If you don't, you're naturally more likely to lose.
  • Don't be a baby and flame your own team mates. It lowers your chance to win even further and makes everyone angry. Don't be that guy.
Conclusion: Play for fun, use your head, don't flame.
This is my signature. This is my dotabuff.

now now swix. OP didnt flame anybody and was, in fact, asking for constructive critisism. Being frustrated after a long losing streak is perfectly normal and sometimes you just have to blow off some steam.

I have only watched the PA game so far and, considering the circumstances, you did reasonably well. Weaver is nowhere near broken, but he was an extraordinarily good pick against your setup. He doesnt care about slows or snares and VS' stun is easily disjointable, while Lina's is hard to hit against a max MS target.

You also played pretty overaggressive...for instance the deaths, were you chased a Moonlight Shadowed Mirana without detection or the time you chased mirana - again - all the way to her fountain without a TP, could have been easily avoided. In fact, there were a few situations where a TP in your inventory could have saved your life.

Farm efficiency was also one of your weaknesses this game. A lot of time was wasted while walking around, looking for a pickoff, where you could have just easily finished farming your next item.

To me it also felt like you (and your entire team acutally) were over-obsessed with getting that weaver. All he had to do, was to be the evasive little roach he is, while his entire team was able to chip you down...but i guess you already knew that.

Maybe i will take a look at the other games as well...no promises tho :D

On topic. I have gone through this, we all have. I think the best way top get out of it is just to pick heroes you like and are good with. Then you are 1: More likely to win and 2: Less likely to be annoyed if you lose.

But Weaver... Get them stuns, get them layered. Blink Dagger + Lion/ Shadow Shaman are his banes (also, Bane ain't bad!). With Riki either be a poor support or hope you have a support who is willing to be. Unless you have all the wards/dust (till you can afford to carry a Gem of True Sight, obviously) otherwise you have no chance. Take advantage early, they think invisible = invulnerable, punish that. Granted though, Weaver is harder to deal with early.

Well, that's a bummer.

On topic: weaver HATES stuns, he can't deal with them. A great counter pick to him is something like Primal Roar or Reverse Polarity. Weaver has
low starting health, and his health naturally never rises above 1500. 4 seconds of bkb piecing stun should be more than enough time to kill him.

Also, kill him in the laning phase or harass him out of lane. Kill him over and over again, preferably before he gets time lapse. And finally, a hex is always nice, but especially against weaver
when a thing is done, it's done. Don't look back.
