Hey guys, just wondering...

Would you guys like me to do a "on hindsight" update to the guide? Like, after each paragraph say something like:

{After two months of the patch}

WOW! I didn't realize that this could be possible. So and so did this with this item, and this buff actually was a lot more than I thought!

Hi Tikru!

Thanks for being an active member on my guide by the way, it's greatly appreciated.

Just to be clear... I'm not saying that Blink Dagger is better than Shadow Blade/ Silver Edge. I'm just saying (by 'very situational') that there are more situations that Blink Dagger is better than situations that Shadow Blade is the correct choice. However, there are still a wide variety of situations that Shadow Blade/ Silver Edge is better than Blink Dagger

Hope that clears things up!

Let me explain my thoughts more clearly. First of all, I agree that it is an extremely powerful ganking tool. Man-fighting not so much, and definitely not escaping (because you don't need to upgrade the Shadow Blade for that.

Moreover, it's pretty expensive for a ganking item, don't you think? It's over 5200 gold, and you want it early to start ganking. Let's use your example of Legion Commander. A Blink Dagger, which is less than half the price, allows the same jump/surprise as Silver Edge would, but without the stats. Blink Dagger allows you to start ganking early. However, if you're completely dominating, SB into Silver Edge is still an idea.

Hi Sofa, Blink Dagger is cheaper than Shadow Blade/ Silver Edge but gives you nothing but mobility while the two others give you AS + damage (+ strength + maim + backstab + break) -all of which are useful for heroes such as Legion Commander. Also Shadow Blade is only 550 more expensive than Blink Dagger, as such you can get that first, then build into Silver Edge. Silver Edge is not only a ganking item but also a "make the enemy pos. 1 carry hit as hard as a kitten" -item in team fights.

You still dont get cleave from battlefury on ranged heroes.

Stop trying to pull off a kyfoid.

Otherwise a really nice guide.
I thot nightmare change was a nerf, now what you say made more sense.
Thx!

:D

No problem mate, that's what guides are for!

Yeah, you don't get the cleace, you get the bonus Damage though. :D

Silver Edge very situational? I'd say it has become a core/alternative core item on heroes that need stats and an initiation/escape/manfighting tool.

On ganking heroes such as Legion Commander and Slark the item is boarderline-op: the passive disable and -40 % damage reduction for 5 seconds means that they can engage 1v1 even on very farmed carries, becoming an even worse cancer than Riki in making the enemy team play scared.

Aghanim's Scepter on Legion Commander is just trolling, make a Moon Shard for the same gold and kill them in < 5 seconds.

Moon Shard is not just a 7th slot item but a viable DPS-item on heroes with either procs ( Faceless Void, Spirit Breaker) or low BAT ( Alchemist, Juggernaut)- or who have good damage but just need attack speed (outworld devourer, farmed Tiny, Legion Commander with 3-digit plus damage from won duels)

In the Guardian Greaves section you forgot to put in the information on viability and such, maybe you skipped it without noticing.

+1 from me.

Fixed! Thanks so much!

I will add the Nyx one, and I will weave the Troll comments in there somewhere.

Thanks again!

Nyx Assassin
Viability: High
Usage: Teamfight Initiation/Counter Initiation and Escape. IMO
While in Burrow state you can activate Spiked Carapace and get them stunned even if they don't attack you. Lone hero killer and Teamfight hero in a same coin :)

Actually the -15 damage from Berserker's Rage is quite huge. His laning phase got nerfed right there. Harder last hits, weaker at trading hits. You no longer have that damage advantage for last hitting and trading hits.
