Hello everyone!

As you read the title before, I completelly have no idea what to do when I am getting stomped when I play as a carry (safe lane) in the early stages. Usually it happens due to poor pick or strong coordinated play of the enemy team. I tried many different tricks, pulling, denying to keep creep equilibrium near the tower, jungle farming. However, doesn't matter how much I try, I end up underfarmed and underleveled. I simply cannot figure out how to comeback! It seems like killing up my laning phase is enough to stop me in my tracks, unless I snowball off someone (but that is a plain luck).

What should I do except for not dying and standing near the tower/farming jungle ?

hey Laxmatik!

hard to say really. having a bad early game was never as sever as it is in 6.84. IF the enemy team is committing a lot of resources to keep you from farming (excessive 4-5 man rotations for instance) its best to just leave the lane and farm elsewhere. Carry a lot of tps and switch lanes often if the enemy is still tracking you down, that way at least you can keep them occupied and open up the map for the rest of your team to farm.

If you are simply losing your lane without enemy rotations however, ask a teammate if he can be bothered to swap lanes with you or request ganks (from your midlaner for example). If your lane isnt getting camped / ganked constantly the jungle is also a viable option, since overexertions by only 1-2 enemies into your jungle can be punished hard by your team if they carry TPs.

If you're having problems in Lane, run through a mental checklist:-

#1 Can you rotate?

If there's another Lane, or you can Jungle safely, you should consider Farming elsewhere.

#2 Can you get a Kill anywhere?

Assuming you're in the Safe Lane, don't just assume that your Mid should come to save the day for you (not accusing you of doing this, just a mistake I see players make a lot).

Case in point ^ you're Midlaner should usually be trying to Farm as well. If he can't secure the Kill (most of the time this is the case) don't ask him to Gank, ask him to keep Pushing and Farming so at least he gets ahead. It is more likely to end up giving you space than having him run around trying to get Kills.

If a Kill can happen to turn things around, try and go for it, just weigh up how likely you are to succeed against what will happen if you fail.

#3 Is there currently nothing you can do in Lane/Jungle without dying?

Stand far back and try to leech Exp. You may not be getting any Gold but at least you won't lose it by Feeding. Sometimes there is nothing you can do to get Last Hits, you have to accept it and wait for an opportunity.

If your not farming as fast as you think you should be, analyse your Last Hits up until 10:00, ask yourself why you lost each one, and see how many more Last Hits you could have reasonably gotten and look at how you can ensure you get themin hte future.

rule]

Also look at your use of time and space, Merlini did a video on how to CS using Tiny as an example

Hard to say. If you have a bad early game, you are kind of SOL in 6.84. Recoveries are possible, but a lot of it depends on your teammates. If you can get a teammate to ward up your jungle (with sentries too, so you can see smoke ganks), then you can make a recovery, especially if you have a farming mechanism like Moon Glaives or Greevil's Greed or Great Cleave. Try and get items up on cores, and if possible defend the death push.

I've been having problems with this too, but It comes down mostly to prevention. Wards and sentries under them are very important. Strong early-mid game heroes are the new meta, so carries like Drow Ranger, Luna, and 6.84 Leshrac.

Woah, those were quick replies ( didn't expect it)! Thank you very much :), usually I try to get a regen/lifesteal item and go jungle, however it seems that my GPM still suffers. I goess not rotating was my mistake. However some randoms team-up and sit in my lane for about 5min to make sure I ain't going anywhere and of course my team counter reacts to it and begin to defend tower, got no idea should I join them or simply farm up. It is not like I cant farm, I cant catch up to the enemy team! :(

Good question...unfortunately impossible to answer in a general manner, as it depends very much on both lineups. All you can do is ask yourself: "What can i do to stop this push?" or "what do i bring to the table if a fight starts?". Because (and i have seen this countless times in pubs) if neither team wants to commit to either a push nor a fight, situations like this quite easily become a LONG "5v5 staredown"-contest, basically wasting everybody's time.

If you (as a carry) dont have any waveclear (abilities that can kill entire creepwaves fast, so the enemy has to tank the tower directly) like Acid Spray or Breathe Fire nor are able to really initiate a fight to get a fast pickoff and counterpush yourself (like Faceless Void for example) there really is no need for you to waste your time, when you would be better off farming.

Even if a teamfight were to break out under one of your towers while you are on another lane farming, you can always TP in and DPS as much as you can to turn the tides.

You really have to trust your instincts on this and ALWAYS look at the minimap. having a TP in your inventory at all times, is also something you should get used to, if you arent already doing so.

Only ever join fights you can win, if you don't see any way to win the fight, just Farm elsewhere. If a Hero or 3 have Rotated in to Push one Tower, odds are there's a Lane devoid of any opponents somewhere on the map that you can Push and Farm yourself.

Smoke of Deceit can't be revealed by True Sight, unless you walk into a Chronosphere over 1000 Units away from the other Team.

If you are the carry, there is one thing you need to know very clearly. Are you farmed enough to fight? Do you have what you need? Pa needs lifesteal, troll needs lifesteal. Medusa needs 3 core items to even try to fight. Riki needs level 6, slark needs level 6. Ask yourself whether you can win the fight or at least accomplish something that is beneficial for your team. If the answer is no, dont fight. It doesn't matter if they are pushing down your towers, if you are not ready, you are only hoping for a miracle and throwing your life away, giving them a an even bigger advantage.
