With the introduction of 6.84 and the rework of enrage, Ursa has been changed considerably.

basically if i am correct each attack of fury swipes at level 4 stacks 30 damage

so by the end of 4 attacks you deal 120 bonus damage and the fifth and sixth attack deal 150 and 180 bonus damage respectively WITHOUT ENRAGE....

Enrage now does 3x the fursy swipes damage so you START with 90 and then do

180/270/360 bonus damage by the 4th attack...

so at level 16 you can do a possible bonus damage of...

90+180+270+360= 900 BONUS DAMAGE.... what the **** ....

thats with no items and not taking into account ursa's normal damage....

please please please tell me i am wrong?

Only for 4 seconds, after that you will be doing normal fury swipe damage. With new or old Enrage, Ursa can 1 hit support anyway.

Old Ursa need to build a lot of HP to make use of the old Enrage. Let's assume he has 3000 hp, old Enrage will provides him 210 damage on each hit, with only 50% down time. Now the new Ursa doesn't need to build HP anymore because he is so tanky that he can man fight 5 enemy heroes at once for at least 4 seconds, and also he can focus more on additional orb effect and attack speed, but with 90% down time, but who care if you can end the teamfight instantly.

IMO it's a buff on him because you can give him more attack speed, as Mask of Madness are totally legit on him now. Still kitable? I think not, because you can dispel slows with the Enrage, thus BKB is now much more situational.

Edit: Ursa is an AGI hero, so you don't need to build not-really-useful STR on him anymore, and AGI-build Ursa is scary. Say, Butterfly Ursa? You shall not run :)

On the 6 hits of Overpower,

Old Ursa Fury Swipes damage : +30 / +60 / +90 / +120 / +150 / +180.

Total : +630

New Ursa *3 Fury Swipes damage : +90 / +180 / +270 / +360 / +450 / +540

Total : +1890

But the old Ursa also had an attack damage increase from his ult, which increased the damage of every attack. If you assume 3000 HP, that's +210 damage, times 6. Total : 1260

So in total the old Ursa dealt 630 + 1260 = 1990 damage on his series of hits.

So...was Ursa nerfed? Since he now only deals damage once every 40 seconds for an ultra-small burst window of 4 seconds instead of almost all the time, and the damage isn't even higher?

Unless you find a way to hit more than the 6 Overpower attacks, in which case they'll deal a ton of damage. Double Overpower is horribly inconvenient with the 10 second cooldown so that's not viable. So we're left with Mask of Madness and Scythe of Vyse to land extra hits?

To get 3k HP you have to spend 1-2 slot solely for that, and old Enrage was based on current HP, so if the enemy attacked first you won't get the 210 damage. With the new Enrage you can build attack speed and AGI on him so the new Ursa will always deal MORE damage than old Ursa, since you can free up few inventory slots for other much more useful items.

two changes i see

i think it changes his timing window

now he needs blink and 6 around the same time or at least 7 and blink. (*or shadow blade)

because you need to force that huge advantage when u can.

think about it its basically a free greaves/bkb it debuffs any slows reduces incoming damage by 80****ingpercent so knowing an enemy ursa has blink and 6 is a scary thing.

the second change is his build.

he still needs control and Anti-control: Scythe, BKB, Abyssal....BUT

he can go into damage items like Daedalus and similar items ...

if i was going to draft him i would run him as a mid with Io, pretty much the only way i can see it happening. hes not viable in higher tier competitive matchs unless he has that early game protection.

The scary thing about the new Enrage isnt even the Bonus dmg at level 16, its the dmg he can potentially put out at level 7 ...with literally no items at all. If you get in 4-6 attacks you basically deal somewhere between 600 and 1260 BONUSdamage...just to put this into perspective: thats 2-3 times the damage of a Level 1 Laguna Blade!
Since this ability scales rather poorly however, Ursa now has somewhat of a time-window in which he HAS to snowball. On the other hand he now can freely go for agility and Damage items, so i cant really tell if this "rework" was a buff or a nerf to his overall lategame potential.
