Early game

You can't do much in this stage. Place the ward, deny creeps and help your teammate farming and harassing opponents. Beware engaging too much far beyond the creepline, or you may be caught, resulting to your immediate death due to your squishiness. As soon as you have spirits, you can use them, but first two levels don't make so much damage, so it is better to conserve mana for further usage. As soon as possible buy the magic stick from sideshop to quickly accumulate charges, which can be the thing that turns the battle in your advantage, you can save your mate with it and get kills, as not many opponents expect having their enemy healed so quickly and surprisingly.

Mid game

Now you should have at least tranquil boots, which give you and your teammate constant and very significant heal. Now you can harass more, but still be wary of your placement. If necessary, buy some wards to drive away possible gankers. From level 6 you can use your teleport either to escape to base for healing and taking items OR ganking, but this way of ganks is, despite being highly rewarding, very difficult, because you need very good communication in your team and sense for timing. As soon as you get your soul ring, even mana issues are no longer a problem, because when you use it on youself, you gain mana, but the tethered ally gets 1,5x more of this mana as well, and what more, permanently, so spam your ring as much as you can, and it gives you free spirits, which should be now maxed and dealing nice piece of damage. For this you should learn how to hit your enemies precisely, which requires a lot of training. But if you manage to get this skill, the enemies will be afraid to come closer. And when the timer of your spirits is nearing the end or you have them ready after cooldown, just get them closer, run into creeps and let spirits explode, and giving you nice farm. This can be done in jungle as well.

Late game

With your bloodstone, mana is pouring from you to all sides. Use this and restore every ally you meet. You should stay with someone almost all the time, because you will be always squishy. Now is the time for overcharge, as many bigger fights occur. Help pushing towers, you can try changing partners, but still watch your frined's back. When you happen to buy heart, you are the final form of hovering fountain. Overcharge can be used more often and your allies on low hp are recovered immediately. The only problem is now cooldown, but that is a small issue. With this you should help with victory significantly.
