Introduction

Hello, This is my guide to the Phantom Assassin. Like most Dota 2 Nubs when I saw a new hero come out I jumped right on to try her "new" version out. As it stands I'm just playing the "normal" way you'd play Her. Currently I am experimenting on different ways to utilize her Talents.

Skill Build

It's pretty standard build setup, but I'll explain why I put points into where for people who can't understand.

Lvl 1 - 8

The reason I put my first point in dagger is because it's your main farming tool especially early game. Also if you lane with a hero who can dish out dmg really fast ie. Jugg you can set up kills for them to talk. Don't worry about getting the kills farming is the name of your game.

Also the first skill I choose to max is dagger because it's a very multifunctional skill. It can help you get a gank, help someone gank, or simply harass.

Some of you may ask why I point a point in blur early in the game. The reason is due to the amount of survival it gives you early game in the lane. The chances of them hitting you like crazy are slim to none. So when they take pot shots either the Poor mans will reduce the dmg to almost nothing or the blur will kick in. It's a good chance at either.

Another important thing is never go for ganks or roam around these levels. Six you may be able to catch a low hp hero in your lane with your warp + ulti, but the risk of losing your farm is too high.

at first: nice guide, but in my opinion your skill order is not the best.
i agree with your dagger at 1st skill but i thunk the 2nd should be phantom strike because you can be ganked very easy.
and another point is that i wouldnt skill your ultimate at lvl 6: its so useless at this moment of the game. skill coup de grace at lvl 10/11/16
and why have you dont take divine rapier? i think its totaly perfect on her, because you buy 3 tanky items, boots, 1 speed item and divine rapier and normaly you rape the enemys team
but your guide isnt that bad so good job:D

I would take Coup de Grace over Phantom Strike at 6 any day. A single crit can mean 100+ more damage in a kill attempt, whereas all a point in Phantom Strike does is decrease the cooldown by 3s. Early game engagements aren't really dynamic enough to merit maxing Phantom Strike before Rank 1 Coup de Grace. Coup de Grace is superior for free farming as well, as it dramatically improves Phantom Assassin's ability to neutral which you will be doing every now and then if you need to slink off the minimap for fear of ganks.

I do this build except that I don't get wand since later it is very weak and also at level 12,13 and 14 I put stats instead of blur. I think after the 1st 20% gain the scaling is awful later on so I leave it either for the end. Some ganking advice would be helpful. For example, before I attack , I throw dagger and by the time the dagger reaches the target I blink on his face. When he tries to escape, he is slowed down and soon dead. Also if the enemy has melee DPS heroes (Ursa, Riki, Jugger) I also pick blade mail before satanic and abyssal.

Sorry yeah I'm working on that. I'll have a full set dedicated to how to gank and farm with phantom assassin.

Black King Bar is essential for all carrys.

The build according to my opinion:

Black King Bar
Abyssal Blade
Power Treads or Phase Boots
Satanic
Battle Fury
Divine Rapier

The Divine Rapier is to increase the critical strike.

very nice build, +1 from me
but i would suggest you to add Phase Boots to early game because they work very well on Phantom Assassin , it gives you early damage and speed and it works awesome on me..
and i would put ***ult Cuirass to late game because it is sooo good on her, armor and attack speed makes you unstoppable and even immortal :D
