Introduction

First, the question why I created this guide. I think I've collected a lot of experience with Axe whether in Dota 1 or in Dota 2. My successes confirm my strategy and I'd like to share my knowledge. :)

Skills

Axe is about to know that his damage results from his Counter Helix. For this reason, this has to be leveled as soon as possible. With Berserker's Call the enemies have to attack you and you have to suffer with a probability of 17% of your enemies a Counter Helix. The Ulti at level 6 must only be given the coup de grace.

Items

To quickly get a good farm, you should use to play aggressively and use the counter helix. Here you lose hitpoints quickly. Start with three tangos and and the stone shild for healing and defense.
Vanguard is very important to have enough live as a tank and therefore a good life generation. The mana boots are required to have enough mana for the Berserk Calls and for the Ulti. To gank effectively you need a Dagger.
Blade Mail is another great item in combination with Berserker's Call, because the attacker will receive additional damage. A Heart of Tarrasque and a Linken's Sphere towards the end, be a lot of hit points and the game can be rocked. :D

conclusion

In the end I would like to point out that each guide can be as good as he wants, without team play is nothing. Thank you for reading my guide. PS: Sorry for my bad English: p

You ever tried Tranquil Boots early on? Gives you super fast badass lanecontrol with super nice regeneration. You can later disassemble them and get Hood(when they have lots of caster) or even Meka(when your team doesnt make one).

Meka can be a good Item for Axe cause he has low Armor. So when your Bersercer call is over pop Meka and you tank nrl as good.

I dont play always with them but i just wanted to point out that Tranquil Boots are sometimes a very good early choice.

Would like your opinion about it!

and i think Shivas is a great Item for Axe too gives also great Armor and a lot of Mana which Axe also needs. I need to try out Linkens on him.

Good Guide overall.

I think Axe has a good life regeneration, because of Vanguard and rather think mana is more more important.
I've revised my guide again because I think you right. Meka and Shiva are definitely a good alternative.
Thank you :)

If you aren't getting battlehunger you don't actually need mana. Arc boots is great for a battlehunger build.

Berserker's call and the Ulti costs much mana. I am of the opinion that Axe has not enough Mana, and therefore I prefer the mana boots. I have also tested other boots, but mana boots were the best.
