Plague Farmer | Necrolyte Dual/Solo | Updated for v6.76

Reasoning

NECROLYTE, PLAGUE FARMER
Hello and welcome to my guide. Necrolyte is one of my favourite Heroes in the game along with Heroes like Lion, Templar Assassin and Pudge. I am a big fan of solo type nukers as you can see. If my spelling or grammar is bad please forgive it, Dyslexias a *****

Necrolyte's Role is often mistaken as a support, while he can support it is no where near as effective as a semi-carry and tank. I often like to play him Hard lane or Mid as he can get quite abit of farm and last hits, which he really needs needs. He can push strong enough early to keep his tower from falling while still getting a good amount of farm.

If you play him in a dual lane, which is no where near as good might I add. You should only play him if your team really needs him in a dual but other than that try to avoid it. DO NOT PUT HIM IN A TRI LANE, he will not provide to it very well and he is level dependent. If you are in a dual you will want to stack and pull ALOT, you are not a good babysitter at all and you will help out who ever you are in lane with. Also get a mek so you can assist in pushes and get your lane partner out of bad situations with your double healing abilities.

Late game you want to become a semi-carry tank, Always carry around a few TP scrolls so you can move around the map and get farm and push back. Dont over extend as your lack of a escape skill might be the death of you. You want to use your ult on anyone who is a large damage dealer, is missing alot of HP and doesnt have any bonus magic resistance (Anti Mage). Note that if you hit someone with a ton of HP , it will do more damage depending on the HP they have missing, not a percentage. So more Health = More potential damage

For boots I recommend phase for extra damage/ last hitting power, and overall map mobility. for support Necro Arcane maybe a good pick up as early you will be using your skills but you should not be getting last hits (if you are with a carry) so you might need the burst of mana. If you decide not to get arcane then note that sadist triggers from denies!

Have fun playing Necrolyte! Happy farming!

6.75 and 6.76 updates

6.75
Sadist reworked:
Necrolyte gains increased HP and Mana regeneration for each unit he kills.
Mana Regeneration: 2/4/6/10 per second
HP Regeneration: 1/2/3/4 per second
Duration: 6
Gives 10x the bonus for hero kills.
Note: Stacks with itself. Each stack operates independently.

Effects: BUFFED, now sadist no longer gives you a sudden burst of mana. Insted it gives you the mana over 6 seconds AND Health. This makes necrolyte a better solo'er, with a ton of sustain you can now farm in peace and restore some of the harass you take.

Death Pulse heal rescaled from 50/75/100/130 to 70/90/110/130

Effects: BUFFED This makes necro a better early support dual laner if he needs to be, and better defense against early ganks.

6.76
Heartstopper Aura damage increased from 0.6/0.8/1/1.2% to 0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5%

Effects: This makes Heartstopper aura more tempting to level sooner, increasing damage per second with increasing ranks.

I have updated my build to facilitate these changes

More info wud be nice, also is this a support or semicarry Necro build. It seems both, iDk. Also one point into heart stopper proves extremely useful, especially when you soloing 2 people. It's a great harassing tool and lowers the power of tangoes.

@Reswob
That is a good point, I would think of it more as a preference pick. Since at level one it only heals 50 hp and you dont need it for last hits (as you shouldn't really be getting much at all when your carry is in lane) But thanks for bringing that up. I'd think about picking it up at level one if no wards are up near your lane, and I wouldn't even skill either untill you are sure

@Wilddeonpwn
Done and done, I'm really new to this whole thing and it was a mess up on my behalf, thanks to you too

Why do you max the aura so late?Its very good against beefy enemies because it is based on HP Removal and not any kind of damage(means that magic immune units-like Lifestealer, Black King Bar lovers still get damaged).

@Wulfstan
It might be a good pick up getting a few levels if you are going up against someone like lifestealer or a pudge in mid. But in Mid game the only times you would be close enough to these heroes to proc the hp removal would be for engagements that dont go on for very long. Early game Necro's Q and E need to be leveled asap so he can farm and do significant damage in the early game, late game The stats are more important for the strength/HP gain as well as the Intell/MANA gain. If you are going up against a team of mostly strength heroes and you need the damage, I would pick it up. So I would say its a situational pick up leveling it earlier insted of stats

Random Thing: He's not really a Plague "Farmer" (He doesn't farm)

He has a scythe. Scythes are traditionally used for farming (specifically cutting down and harvesting wheat), that is the context of the joke.

Ou lol I get it now. Wait wasn't it a Hoe?

Hoes are more gardening and used to till the dirt. Scythes are for actually harvesting the crop.
