The starting items are great, they give you some quick dmg for lasthitting and they combine very well with the laningitems. Buy the Helm of ironwill Before morbid mask. for armor and hp regen.



Do note that it is wise to look at what you are up against before buying some of the items. the mid-game items is'nt a must, but they are cheap and have a easy build-up.

Use the low lvl bloodrage to harras/dps/silence other heroes, and when it becomes lategmae use it on yourself after using Rapture on an enemy hero to boost your dps.
