LoL w00t Viper

I have been playing Viper a lot recently and I am 13/6 at the moment so this is an interesting take and I will definately give it a go because I can see the logic and will give me a new way to try out. For my Viper I always play the following core : Magic Wand, Hood of Defiance, Power Treads, Aghanim's Scepter

I also agree with Mirror on Hood of Defiance - in most games I find it makes a big difference and synergises really well with Corrosive Skin (at level 4 + hood I think its an effective 60% magic reduction based on DOTA mechanics) and mid / late game really makes Viper so hard to deal with. A recent game I got shouted at by opposing team for using an OP hero - i pointed to the fact that within 5 seconds of the pick they went Invoker, Lion and Lina - i was going Jakiro but seeing that I went to my current favourite - got tanky with lots of HP and their magic nuke combos just tickled my Viper !

This guide is pretty good, i've improved my performance with it. I'm now sitting at a 6/2 record with Viper, after a slow 1/2 start. Hood is situational, but also very good, can increase your tankiness.

I enjoy most guides with triple twig and this is no exception. +1

One thing I would like to point out is Viper is nor a Cary. He is a ganker that makes his money in the mid game.

A item not listed here that has won me a few games is hood of defiance. The early health regeneration is extremely useful. Normal attacks already have a hard time hitting you, hood gives you the option of doubling as a tank.
